Lol, I read it really quick and didn't really see that you said air compressors.
I'm never going to be able to get away from that annoying horn sound lol. We heard it a lot last year.

Why would you EVER want to get away from it??
It means TOUCHDOWN BLACK BEARS!!!!!

Granny, I think you're taking a little bit away from the fine folks of Pond Creek. Don't think you know how capable we are of packing stadiums. Ask Garrard County, Breathitt County, Mason County... we've outnumbered people at their house several times. We outnumbered Louisville Central in 2007, IN LOUISVILLE.

We had a train horn the first year or two at Cawood's field and quit using it. But we are pretty noisy!

^
So what kind of horn are they hooking up to that compressor??
I would NEVER take anything away from the fine folks of Pond Creek.
Belfry's fans sound a lot like our's. We have a tremendous following, and we really TRAVEL, too. I mean a two/three hour drive one way is no problem for us, as we've been doing it since the school opened!!

I have watched the game on IHigh a couple times from last year and Harlan Co. is as physical a team as I have seen. If they can work a little balance into that offense for this upcoming season, they will be a serious contender to play for the 5A title.

Looking forward to seeing who can come out of Dist. 7 and Dist 8. HC will be the favorite but Whitley will give them a run and being at Whitley HC needs to be a few td's better. The big question for HC is will they be able to throw to stay balanced? Dist 7 will be more balanced with Pulaski having the edge over Madison but if Harris stays healthy it might swap this year.

I believe that this is one of the overall most skilled team a Harlan County team has had in forever and maybe ever. This team will put some great skilled kids on the field this year. Please Black Bear fans don't get me wrong but I am a little nervous about a vocal leadership to lead this team. Somebody please comfort me and tell me everything will be ok.

Belfry is a great program With great tradition. But trust me when I say this....you will not even approach outnumbering HC at HC.

I truly hope this is the year that Harlan County makes it to Bowling Green. It sounds like they have all the parts. Here's hoping they can put them all together.
07-15-2013, 07:54 PM
I guess we will see. I just hope we have a couple of kids take over the leadership of this team. I am a little concerned. Oh well, I guess I am worrying about nothing. Anyway, thanks a bunch adopted purple!

It will all pan out bear claw. Just like last year when our QB went out early in the season and Bailey stepped in and led that team to a semi-final game!! Keep the faith!

This Belfry and Harlan game has The two best and classiest high school football coaches they are awesome.

^^
Oh, I couldn't agree more piratefan!! The family values that Larkey supports would sell me on him 1000% even if he wasn't a great coach!!

It will be electric; I cannot wait!!
By the way piratefan, look up blackcatfan and belfry0304. If we are tailgating (and we should be even that early in the year), they know where to come. Please stop by!!

It's going to be OK!!
Senior QB, Scotty Bailey will be a great verbal leader on the field. Senior lineman JW Cooper will keep the line in gear. Carson Whitehead, although quite and reserved, leads by example. No worries bear claw. Going to be a great season.

Harlan is also building a great tradition, and has a great fan base and a top notch coaching staff..our schools have that in common....But had you just said we would out number your fans i would agree with you, but since you said approach out number ,trust me when i say this, we will have 90% of the number of fans you have....as you would if it was played at BELFRY.....so when you see you red on the home side because of overflow please don't be like Breathitt and be rude we just wanna watch a great game between two great mountain schools....I really can't wait for this game....I mean no disrespect with this post I'm just giving my opinion....
07-17-2013, 02:27 PM
There'll be a lot of RED on our side, too!! LOL
If I'm not mistaken, we have 100 yards of bleachers on the home side, and half that many for the visitors. You couldn't have gotten one more person on our home side seating with a shoe horn, the night we played Bell for the grand opening.
Cooper's magnificent fan base was probably the most numerous last year; I would expect Belfry to have more. This potentially will be the largest crowd ever at Coal Miner's Memorial Stadium. I get goose bumps thinking about it!!

If I'm not mistaken, our home side bleachers seat 4,000. The visitors seat 2,000. Bring a friend, they'll be plenty of room to seat Belfry's fans.

Parking will be a mess!

Actually there is 120 yards of home bleachers. It goes from back of endzone to back of endzone. The visitors goes from 20 to 20.

Patriot is correct about the parking. The first game played at Coal Miner's Memorial, Bell County, all the lots were full and running over. When I left that game (it was late, too), cars were two and three abreast as far as you could see in both directions on the main road.
