Cracks me up how the announcer keeps saying on every play "He may go" and the offensive player was surrounded by defenders...lol
#3
Always nice to be reminded of how a younger Brad Allen (ERHS HC) looked when he played (#75)
#4
Both teams had good teams that year. I believe that was the year the great RB from Breathitt went to Pikeville.
#5

#6

Yes;John Chapman went with his dad John Paul that year and cost Breathitt another title.

This has to be the first time ever right?

2 really good teams that year. Not as good as my Jackets but they where still really good mountain teams that year.

RB Chapman didn't play for Pikeville in that game and then broke his leg early and was out for the season if my memory is correct?
Don't know that it would have mattered against Middlesboro, they had one of the best Class A teams ever that year.

Chapman did play, #28.

Why did John Paul’s tenure there end so quickly?

He played in that game I can promise that. I think had under 50 yards in that game. Watch highlights look for 28.

Yea that probably wouldn’t of mattered either way that year. Floyd Branham was probably the best high school middle linebacker to come out of the mountains in the last 35 years and only 1 of us had him on our side. Dude had it all.

^^^He was a pure beast and Middlesboro had a great offense as well.

Where can someone watch a video of the pikeville Breathitt scrimmage from Thursday? All ive seen is a pikeville RB breaking a 25 yard run for a TD.

Jonathan Chapman did play. He gets hurt in 1st half. John Paul got fired from Pikeville for choking a player. He was fired from Breathitt afterwards for hitting another coach with a chair.

Middlesboro had beaten us (Breathitt) the week before. Even with a healthy Jonathan Chapman no way they even compete.
We beat Pikeville @ Pikeville 33-0 the week before Middlesboro beat us at home.
