In their first year as a school last year, the Lady Titans went 23-15. They won the district championship with a 4-2 win over Spencer County and then made it all the way to the regional championship game before falling to Walton-Verona 4-3. They lost only one senior from last year's team, center fielder Kristina Gramig, who is now playing softball at the University of the Cumberlands. They return everyone else including their pitcher, Jeneca Thomas, who had a record of 23-13 last season and lead Shelby County to the state tournament in her sophomore season. This year they will have quite a few seniors with lots of experience and some great hitters along with a good pitcher. They should be one of the favorites to make it to Owensboro this year.

Their full schedule isn't posted on the KHSAA website but they will be playing a tough schedule again this year. The games posted so far include Sacred Heart, North Laurel, Ballard, Mercy, and Oldham County. I know they will also be playing in a tournament at South Laurel, the Capital City Classic in Frankfort, and the Lady Charger Classic at Jeffersontown as well as hosting the Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament.

I expect a great season for the Lady Titans and I think they have a great shot at making it to the state tournament this year.

With the opening of Collins it really killed the Shelby Co. high school program. Blue1424 did most of the girls decide to go to Collins?? What happended to Shelby Co.??? Big difference in one year. Shelby Co. at the top of region than Colling opens and Collins to the top and Shleby Co. to the bottom.

Most of the girls that played for SC two years ago live in the Collins district so they go to Collins. For years most of the athletes in all sports at Shelby County came from the western end of the county, which is now Collins' district. I now live in Louisville but when I lived in Shelbyville it was always that way. Shelby County only lost one senior off of last year's roster and they should be better this year.
