Congrats GC freshman. With only 14 players (5 eighth graders, 7 freshman, and 2 soph's). Jeffery Williams(#1) had a huge game. It was a very impressive win. A special thanks to JC for coming up to GC last minute.

Jeffrey just keeps getting better and better each game. He was kind of the 2nd back last year as an 8th grader but this year he has increased his speed so much from last year. Was proud how the 8th graders played. We had several 13 year olds out there and they more than held their own.
There was a JC player hurt toward the end of the game. I would just like to send out prayers that he is ok and has a quick recovery.

The 8th graders are really growing as players and I thought it showed last night. I was amazed at what I watched. The GC boys really came together in this game and it was obvious in the second half. Steelermatt, your boy played an awesome game last night and is going to be a special player for GC in the future. I couldnt be more proud of the boys.

How many JC freshmen did not play in this game? They have several that get some varsity time. I can't see them playing the day before a varsity game. Anyone know?

This loss by JC freshman team puts them in line to be on GC varsity football schedule next year. All football coaches and administrators should be hiding in shame after todays notification of GC dropping Raceland.

Good job Greenup. Sounds like Copley will have some talent to work with in the future. The middle school and Freshman sound like a solid core.
