Top 10 teams next year
#31
Shelby Valley is a top 6 or 7 team in my opinion with one of the top players in the state. I was hoping they would ditch the out of state tourneys. You can never gauge out of state competition. I hoped they would play in the King of of Blugrass or the 5th third. These big state Christmas tourneys are much more competitive and it lets you know where your team stands on a state level. Also say you play in one of these tourneys and Elijah plays a big tourney that would only help his recruitment, Mr Basketball standing and 1st team all state honors. Of course Im just arm chair coaching right now.

Which players have you heard to be rumored transferring?

Nah, you won't see anymore transfers this late. Not enough time to go through the KHSAA process before school starts.

No one knows the tranfer process more the me! Having a family member tranfer to a high profile basketball school. You do not going to the KHSAA until after you have changed schools. We did not put it in the KHSAA hands until football season had started. I know of four tranfers to the 11th region this year. That will change alot of programs in the 11th.

I know Barner left Mason Co and I think transferred back to Bryan Station, but what other kids transferred or which programs will have new faces?

I agree, I would rather them play in one of the more prestigious in-state tourneys instead of going out-of-state. I mean, going to Florida is nice, and they will certainly play some strong teams down there, but it's harder to assess how you measure up to the big boys back home.

Missed opportunity.

Agree 100% MC.

Shelby Valley definetly has the talent this year to compete with some of the better teams around the state. It's a shame that we won't know until the state tournament how they compare to other teams. Christian Co is the only top 10 team they play during the regular season.

LOL and it hurts when the KHSAA doesn't even bother to process the paperwork for 5 months. TongueirateSho
