Middlesboro Job Open?
#31
I think all the moves were smart moves besides the Russell Thompson move. Why? What did he do to deserve that? He will be very successful where he goes.
#32
FallingJacket I hope you are not in charge. Questions are coming.

I'll check with you on that in November and again the end of February...

I'm a little prejudiced, but I think Shane Shackleford would be a logical choice. He's been an assistant for several years, and I know he's very smart and the players like him.

You stole my line. He definitely deserves a shot Smile

Totally agree. He's been an assistant there for 10 years and was overlooked once already. He deserves a chance after all his hard work and dedication to the program. The kids look up to him and love him.

Millett

Why would Millett when he was ready fired once from the same position? That makes no sense. Plus his son is no longer attending Middlesboro and is going to school in Knoxville. That doesn't look very good on his part.
#39
Millett did not apply for the job.
#40
The job along with AD job was turned down by someone up on the hill from what I heard. The search continues.
#41
I have a buddy that's in the know, and he says he has never seen it even close to this bad. He says there is more departures to come before school starts.
#42
Who in their right mind would WANT to work there?! If the football coach can be fired after having a GREAT season, then nobody is safe. I don't blame them. Get off the titanic while there's still time.
#43
We will see what kind of hire they will make.
#44
Who turned down the Ad job from up on the hill?
#45
The central office wanted the best football assistant they could find, so trying to get that, called and offered a Bell County coach the def. co. the AD job and head basketball coach. Wanted to make sure football was helped. He said no thanks.
#46
anything esle going on with any hiring or anything at middlesboro and any possble speculations on who the new athletic directors and coaches will be and does anybody know possbly when they will be naming new hires
#47
Word is if you are a football coach you are in. They will give you the basketball job to get a good football coach. They have had no shows and people quit on the football program, so they are under pressure.
#48
Can you say trouble?
#49
I saw this comming some time ago starting with the school board race....

Seems as if anyone with sense is staying away. Hated to loose Ealy but glad he is the only 1.

Yes me too on Ely. I think he will be the only one. Can't blame him close to retirement and a big pay raise.
#52
Ealy went home to be the next superintendent. I must say, that will be a great hire. If Middlesboro has any chance they better get rid of the super they have now. He is responsible for all this mess and it will get worse as long as he is there.

Did Bill jones retire

Jones took the Middle School principle job. Just for MHSParent, we lost another Central Office employee, had enough. The list goes on and on.

Hoskins I would imagine.

This further lets me know that you people don't have a clue what you are talking about. You can not be an AD and a head coach in anything at Middlesboro. That's why Jones stepped down as Coach so he could be AD several years ago.
#58
who all has applied, will they hire an assistant?
#59
Any word on applicants or when they'll start the interview process?
#60
Possible a coach from Corbin ..
