LOl Ik how it is hook. In high school sports people don't appreciate a damn thing. Me and my girlfriend spent 3 hours the day before the apple classic this year in football Painting the logo at midfield. I overheard two people complaining about it being too small. It took everything in me to keep from going up to them and politely asking them to help out next time. I made sure they overheard me say how no one is willing to put in any help when a team is losing.

^ Very well said PT, but unfortunately, nobody wants to do anything when you are winning either. Trust me!

I donated my time for years. One thing i noticed during all those years is you would see the same parents year in year out helping. Everybody likes to complain but no one wants to do anything to help make things better. They of course had ideas of what should & needed to be done, but didnt want to be a part of doing it.

I agree 100%, everyone has an opinion, but very few will help with anything, you see the same people volunteering to take money at the door, concession stand, and other things, but let one thing go wrong and the ones that never help jumps on the band wagon to criticize.

sometimes their is corruption (money vanishing) from peewee leagues all the way up including school associated sports. thier is a few close to this thread who knows what im talking about. who would want to be part of that. i would rather set back and be an armchair or bleacher coach. NOT directed at you thomcat. just some that chimes in from time to time and some that does all the time. so maybe thats the reason for lack of help....?????

I don't post on here much, but love to read others posts. Question is, does Paintsville have talent but no COACH or Coach with no Talent? All during football season Knner had talent but did not know how to get it done or so it has been said, now Ratilff has the talent but isn't getting it done. We hear all the time that we have good players coming up from middle school, but nothing ever happens. Is it that players are good in middle school and not so good against other players once in HIGH SCHOOL, or is it actually the COACH? We have all seen some talented kids coming out out of grade school into middle school with pretty promising futures, but once in high school did not produce unless you had two to three more with them. Paintsville just replaced their football coach with a very accomplished Basketball Coach,so why wouldn't you put him in as Basketball Coach and find another Football Coach? Both programs have been way below five hundred for the past four years so do you get rid of Ratliff also?
