Chapel who, Frazier who. Oh wait got to make it out of district to get your name remembered. We have never had our principle take over our weight lifting because our coaches can’t produce. Don’t believe me ask Bob Lawson lol

Not that starts, special team talent
QB at spring game was massengil. He did a good job and is nice athlete. QB is not his position, but he will be a nice playmaker in space for Estep to get the ball too.

After watching the spring game, I will say Corbin needs to get better up front on both sides of the ball. They have some nice skill, but we all know games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage.

As for coaches, I don't know who coaches what, but they have a lot out there. As for Coach in Waiting, you need to layoff the day drinking.

Whitley County players have started for Corbin for the last half century.

I'm confused as to why you keep complaining about all-time great running back Bob Lawson.
I had a dream last night that I met a Corbin fan that was telling me Corbin athletes are superior to Whitley County athletes. I told him Whitley County athletes are every bit as good , and some of the Corbin players are from Whitley County. We walked around having friendly conversation all night, and first went to a basketball game. A Corbin player went for a layup, and without thinking I as a fan came from the end of the court and blocked his shot. I immediately thought I shouldn't have done that and knew I was gonna get ejected so I just started walking out of the place. lol Then I was at a Corbin-Whitley football game with the Corbin fan when the Corbin quarterback threw a deep pass down the sideline, and i was on the sideline as a fan , and interfered with the pass. lol... As I was walking behind the stadium after the game the Corbin fan hugged me then all the Corbin cheerleaders hugged me. I walked away saying I still don't like Corbin Confusednicker:
Hounds have more kids out than they ever had. Incoming 9-12 almost 100 kids have been lifting. Middle School 7th and 8th both have 40 each also.

Wow!! Thats some great numbers!! I know we'll lose some kids from now until the start of the season, when I played we'd lose 5-8 each year but we only had about 60+ kids out. Even if we loose around 10% that's still a lot of bodies and a lot of fresh legs for a long season and a title run

That's way too many. Send some back to the County.

hard for them to win when you get all their players before they make it to the high school. lol. I think you're pretty cool even if you are a traitorous redhound Smile
Who will be taking the snaps for the redhounds this season?

It's looking like our RB from last year. I don't know how good of a decision that it is, because he was a beast in that backfield. You had to play him honest because he could beat you on the pass as well. But I'm not at practice everyday so I dunno. It has to be better for the team as a whole or Haddix wouldn't do it. But man taking him out of that backfield is a huge spot to fill. But word is right now, that hole may be getting filled. So we'll see. But the kid does have a great arm, and amazing speed. His vision is what helped him as a RB, that and his ability to make you miss in open field.

He will still be a danger running the ball. The read option will be nasty next season.

oh yea he'll def be a danger. a dual threat QB in HS with great open field vision. It's still a tough adjustment going from RB to QB in one year and learning to read the defense from another spot while running the whole show. He's also a baseball player so time away from the football field.

This season offense is going to remind me of 1A Williamsburg 2014 team . :Cheerlead

Whomever they get recruited to do so most likely
64SUR Wrote:This season offense is going to remind me of 1A Williamsburg 2014 team . :Cheerlead

Hopefully they'll be better than that.
That team couldn't win a 1A title. Corbin has to be good enough to win at the 3A and 4A level
Cronin will have another really good year. Very well coached. Work very hard. But they wont be able to win their class for the next five years bc of who they’ll see in the end. But I have no doubt haddix and crew will keep working to close the gap.

Corbin had 90 players at practice today. There are several still playing baseball who aren't practicing now.

Corbin will be ok I promise. Our skill players overall will be better than we had last year I believe. the only problem we might have is in the trenches. Both lines will have to step it up if we wanna see Kroger field next year.
Will Corbin have anyone step up or will they have any new faces this year on the offensive and defensive lines?

How is Estep looking at the QB position?
Anyone heard how their trip to Dalton Ga is going? Anyone looking good or standing out?
Football_Maniac Wrote:Anyone heard how their trip to Dalton Ga is going? Anyone looking good or standing out?

Georgia has some good recruits Confusednicker:
It'd be nice if they could pick up a few recruits from down that way. I'd not oppose it.
