Technical Foul was called and Mason Bowling went to the line and made one of two. Congratulations to both teams. Both played extremely hard. IMO, Virgie did not play well offensively. Never got in rythm and at times struggled to score. Dorton played great defense, not taking anything away from them, but that was one of Virgie's poorest offensive showings.
Long road ahead though. I predict this will be the closest these two teams will play the rest of the year. Just my opinion.
Actually Zach Cantrell called the timeout. He just lost his head. He knew we didn't have any, but just reacted after the score. It had no bearing on the game at all because we weren't going to score from the other baseline in that amount of time. I thought Zach played a heck of a game defensively.
Both teams played hard. Virgie was sloppy offensively, as were we. I thought Owen stepped up big several times during the game, and Victor hit a huge 3 to put us up by 1 point late. Turnovers and Virgie's defense under 1 minute cost us the game.
