A lot of hate between Paintsville and Johnson Central but if they decided to merge then the new school would be more than likely playing in 6A the following year which would be a huge task for a mountain school.

I do not think that it really matters if the team is from the mountains or not, it would be harder for JC even if they stayed in the same class, like Mercer did this year. Paintsville does not have a football team like Harrodsburg, so many of the kids would not have "football experience" IMO. In a few years, Campbellsville and Taylor County are going to merge, that should be intresting IMO.
