I believe the supply chain problem was other countries where we got our goods. The United States came out of covid the best of the world some countries still haven't slowed inflation down. But the prices will never be what they was in 2020 unless we are in a bad recession or depression. The last time we had bad inflation was in the late 70's and early 80's and prices never did drop.
