UI cop knew of Shannon case months before ban

A UI detective knew of the sexual assault inquiry into Illini hoops player Terrence Shannon Jr. from Lawrence, Kansas, police three months before school officials say they had "actionable information" to suspend him, according to emails obtained by ESPN.
