Best memory playing or rooting for your favorite team?

T-CATS Wrote:I have many playing and watching but would like to share my favorite. My Dad is a Tomcat through and through. When Putnam was coming down and being put back together my Dad was by the stadium everyday maybe 2 or 3 times a day collecting bricks and other trinkets he could find. I was also over there my share too but nothing like him. Dad was over there so much the contractor knew him by name. Anyway stadium gets built and they pour the concrete stairs leading to the field. The stairs were screwed up and had to be ripped out and redone. Just so happens Dad and I show up the day they are getting ready to repore the stairs. I said Dad wouldn’t it be cool if we put something in the stairs before they start and he said I’ll go ask. He asked they didn’t care so Dad walks across the street to one of his stash piles and pulls a chunk of bricks and mortar out and walks back over and says let’s put some old in with the new. We grabbed a sharpie and signed the date and our names on the old piece of Putnam and added it to the gravel already in the forms. Here comes the concrete trucks and they pour the new concrete on the stairs and embed the old piece of Putnam forever or until they decide to tear them out again. That was in August of 15 my Dad died in December of that year after the season. That day will be with me forever.

Great story, thanks for sharing
