There isn't a fine line between discipline and abuse. Abuse is simply physically beating a kid. I was brought up scared of the belt or switch, my kids will grow up the same way, and be better for it.

:thumpsup: :Clap: Couldn't of said it better my friend. No offense to some who may read this, but some of the younger generation has no repect for anything. They don't care how they dress, act, or speak. A simple "time out" just don't cut it. My wife worked for one of the local schools as a teacher aid. (1st grade). These kids would yell and tell the adults no, and you don't tell me what to do, and even would threaten to kill others. Unbelievable!!! And when the parents were informed, they would simple say " I can't do anything with them". Then they would say you can't spank my child.
