This very well could be one of the top 2-3 districts in the state this year.

DeSales
I know there has been a lot of chatter about CAL overtaking the Colts this year, but I don't see it. The Colts had won 2 straight state titles in 13 & 14 before losing to the eventual state champs in 15. That alone should speak to why they should be picked to win their district and host the substate championship. The Colts were hit hard by graduation losing 20 players to graduation but, this is a squad of 99. In my mind from all the film I watched on them and watching them in person twice last year, they were not near the team without the all everything qb. They lost him and a lot of other talent to graduation though. I still don't think the cupboard is bare and I think they should still have enough to host the Cardinals the day after Thanksgiving and finish as Substate Runners Up.

Christian Academy of Louisville
This team has split games with the powerhouse Colts over the last 2 seasons and finished last year as Regional Runners Up with a record of 10-3. I look for them to finish this year as district runners up and regional runners up. They have 2 of the most dynamic players returning at qb and wr. They will both be sophomores this year. I think they will be much better next year with the maturation of this years group of freshmen.

Washington County
I look for this group to remain in the same spot just looking at the numbers. They went 5-6 last year. They however lost 11 from a group of just 38 to graduation. I still think they should have enough to prevent them from dropping another spot.

Shawnee
The numbers say it all when dealing with this pick. Shawnee finished up last year at 0-10. You, couple that with what they lost and the outlook is bleak. They lost 6 from a group of 27, which is almost 1/4 of the team.
