Right, put a different way. God spoke with Adam, the first of his creation. He spoke on a number of occassions with all the prophets. He spoke extensively with Moses who authored the first 5 books of the Old Testament 3,500 years ago under God's own direction. The Bible as it exists today, was completed 1,500 years after Moses wrote the books of Genesis through Deuteronomy, by the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos. God ordained the institution of marriage, one man and one woman before He had even created Eve.

Genesis 2:18-25 (KJV)
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

There was never a time when man was amino acids, all a-swirl in a puddle, poised to begin a journey toward manhood, in a sort of eco-lottery Darwin dubbed Evolution. There was never a time God allowed man to live alone through aeons of time, unaccountable in the backwash of history. God's word was passed down from generation to generation by the spoken word until such time as Moses authored the first five books of the Bible. After that, priests preserved and taught God's Word until Christ died for all men on the cross. And, his disciple John finnished His perfect and Holy Word.

We are accountable to Him. And we will answer for changing what He said in the Bible. Revelation 22:18 (KJV)
