This is Week 2 of the inaugural Bluegrass Rivals Regional Power Rankings!

We will rank the Top 5 in each region of the stat, based on a "pound for pound" basis. We will take into account Strength of Schedule, margin of victory/defeat, magnitude of games, and come to a conclusion.

Rankings are meant for discussion, and your feedback is what we want to hear whether you agree or not. Make your case for your team!





NKY
1. Highlands- Bluebirds take care of the rival Colonels and may be untouchable for the remainder of the regular season.

2. Cooper- Jags remain undefeated making short work of Scott.

3. Simon Kenton- Pioneers make a statement shutting out Ryle.

4. CovCath- Colonels battled Blue Birds throughout the game, but once again lose in the end.

5. Ryle- The Raiders remain at #5 by default despite being shut out by Simon Kenton. Why? No other NKY team remotely has the resume to make a case otherwise.


On The Rise:
Lloyd Memorial- The Juggs stand at 5-1 and are fresh off a win over defending 2A State Champs Cov. Holy Cross. Their schedule leaves a lot to be desire at this point, and their lone loss was to a Middle Tier 3A Garrard County.

Beechwood- Te Tigers are one game away from clearing the tough part of their schedule where they have substantially played up. All indications are that they will be the team to beat in small school NKY football before it is said and done.


Falling:
Cov. Holy Cross- Sitting at 1-5 the Indians are staring down the barrel at a 3 seed in their district and possibly a 3-7 regular season record at best.

What to Watch:
Conner vs. Cooper- A relatively uneventful slate of games for the upcoming week gives us this matchup as the best to watch. Cooper will be favored, but Conner make very well be the best team in the large pack of even teams trying to chase the Jags down.
