^ You give guys wins over legends in order to make them legitimate. Otherwise, you have 2-3 players and everyone else is a nobody. It would get pretty boring seeing Randy Orton battle John Cena for the next five years and no one else.... You give Rhodes the win in order for people to actually believe he can compete with any other top name. Once people believe he can compete with the rest of the top names, he then becomes a top name! And when Randy Orton gets injured, does a movie or takes a break, you have a fresh face to step in and keep the show going.....
