Knott and the 14th got a great draw at the state tournament. I said they were beatable even in the 14th but like the above comments are so true Hall takes care of them in the tournament if you notice justice pushes off a lot with his left arm before shooting....I will say this Perry not as strong as they have been but has not played their best basketball yet and I don't think Knott will get any better. Outside the 14th were the refs are different and Hall cant help them Knott County average.

Our boys played great! There was some questionable calls that aided the comeback for Knott. Justice 4 point play was biggest that comes to mind. He made a very difficult trey from deep in the left corner and the whistle didn't blow until after the shot was through the net. Seem the refs fell for the falling down trick. I think even Knotts fans were surprised. Overall, just a great game to watch. Isaacs made a great move for the trey to win with time running down. Our team shot the ball well. Way to go Warriors! Good luck rest of the season KCC. I expect you all to be in the Sweet 16.

SW had balanced scoring Issacs 17, Gaskin 12, Gover 12, Fitzgerald 11, Butt 11, Cromer 6 and Dykes 2.

I don't know why most people are looking at this game as an upset. Southwestern is a legitimate top 10 team in the state. They have a stud point guard, a heck of a big man, a well above average 2 guard, and great role players. I've seen Knott play twice, they would be ranked 5th in the 12th region, behind SW, Lincoln, Wayne, and Boyle, and possibly PC, Mercer, and West Jess. I honestly felt going into the game SW would win by 15.

Gaskin is a good big man and your right danny Butt does a good job running the point and Issacs is an under rated 2 guard

Any team that shoots good from 3 and plays full court pressure defense will give knott problems. The only defense B.B. knows is a 2-3 zone and their ball handling is not great. They don't have very good point guard play.

knott beat covington catholic. CC beat central. Central beat trinity. covington catholic beat NCC. So I guess knott would be rank higher than covington catholic, central, trinity n NCC in the 12th region. People stop hating on kcc. Kcc could have had a bad game or southwestern had a game where they were hitting high percentage of shots.

Saw were Taylor Co beat Lincoln Co last night. Couple weeks ago Perry beat Taylor Co on the road. So I guess Perry would be ranked higher than Knott in the 12th region as well. It was one game and when you have 2 quality teams playing on any given night either team can win. Knott may go to Lincoln and lose or they may win. It doesn't matter. Tournament time is all that matters. I remember Knott beating Paintsville at Paintsville in 96 late in the year. Knott didn't even win the region that year and Paintsville hung a state championship banner. Just enjoy good quality games and quit hating on a team that has 2 losses on the year.

With the team knott has this year there is no excuse for the schedule they have played. You see what happens when they play a quality opponent. Lincoln co will beat them next week it would not surprise me at all if it comes a heavy frost next week B.B. will try to craw dad out of that game. I used to feel that way, but the last after watching the last 4-5 games it seems the team plays better with Butts at the point.

Now this is jmo. I like gaskin, fitzgerald, gover, issacs and cromer to start games. Danny to me comes off bench better. handles it better and it seems to give him a chance to see how game is being played. Got to figure out how to get gover open looks from 3. same with Issacs but he can get them hisself. Cromer needs to knock down open looks and not force stuff. He shoots an unbelieveable high percentage when he does. He will get open looks because so much attention on issacs and gover. fitz needs to shoot 3 ball some every team is playing him to drive. kid can shoot but has to keep them honest for his drive. Gaskin has to just play like a beast every game. When he does the warriors are hard to beat. Danny has to do his thing but a little more under control. When all that happens they are pretty dang good.

I've said it before that I would love for my Commodores to beat Knott this year. I also would like a new Corvette! Guys, the Patriots are gonna bring the state title back to the mountains! It amazes me that grown men and or women love to see young men fail. Knott has a group of young men that have worked their tails off for 4 years and have been A students along the way. They have performed volunteer work throughout the county with the elementary schools and other groups. Most importantly they have been GREAT role models for the youth of Knott Co. I love to joke around from time to time but when all is said and done I am a fan of 14th region basketball . If Knott doesn't win the 14th I will support the team that does.I know a lot on here is all in good fun but a few have a hatred for these young men so deep that they want them to fail, pathetic! Anyone who has spent time with these young men and Coach King know that they are class acts that earn and deserve everything they receive.

You're not wrong, that's for sure. Plus, it's not limited to the 14th, it's every region around it seems. In each region you have at least one member that seems to have some sort of personal issue with a specific school and they make it their mission to get in on every thread and troll it as much as possible. It really is sad... even more sad is that most are adults...
