New help at KCC this year(07-08)

Just heard that barry king was coming to kcc to help coach this year, has anyone heard this to? just wondering.

i don't think so, i hope not anyway. I think that got started if his sister-in-law gets the superintendent job. I think they both need to stay in letcher co. but thats my op.

His sister-in-law is applying for the superintendent job? She has a child that plays ball at JBS.

From what was said, i think it is a volunter thing,they said he helped very well 3 or 4 years ago for the lady pats.(donated land for sale,) profits going to the lady pats basketball program,and lots of other good deeds. Sounds like he would be a great asset for kcc boys basketball.

I'am 100% sure the child is enrolled at Hindman Elem. this year, she has been at JBS for the last few years.

When Jim Rose was let go in the early 90's so was BB. He has helped in a volunteer basis at LCC the last two years. He is a Knott Countian and would be a valuable asset to any program.

She was at JBS the last day of school. So she attends JBS.

He didn't need an opening at LCC. He was a volunteer. Does that mean he is trying to get a job in the Knott Co school system?

I don't feel that this may be the right direction with the program. The staff there now is doing an exellent job without any help.

Rumer over here in letcher county is Coach Amburgey is on his way out of knott county now that the superintendent of knott county worked in letcher co for many years and has a certain member in her family looking to get a head coaching job. dont chalk this one up to speculation. THATS A FACT!!

I dont think a school system in this day and time would hire and fire someone because its somebody's relative. At least I dont think they would, if thats the way it is there who would want to coach there anyway?

a qb 7, why are you dissing KCC, KCC has did nothing to you. No we may not have a good program in the athletic part, but we try our best. We get out and work hard. KCC isn't a bad school. I'm tired of people getting on here and hating on KCC. What about SC and LCC and all those schools? What about Jenkins and Ma. They suck? oh wait no KCC beats them 55-0 in football, and Jenkins and Ma. is way better team? dude you need to get out and get a life and quit hating on kids. If your gonna point fingers at people, do it to a man not kids, these kids never said anything to you there just doing there job and playing sports. Better than seeing them on drugs and stealing things isn't it? Why don't we all just get along and quit dissing every bodies school? What??? How am I hating on KCC? RU kidding? I support the school and all the athletics, what part of my post gave you the idea Im hating on KCC? I just mean they have good coaches in all sports, leave them alone and quit spreadind rumors about coaches getting fired when you have no idea. Are you sure you were reading the post I made?

Are you kidding? Have you ever in your life heard of sarcasam? I was replying to the person that said Amburgey was gone and I was meaning that if they are so sure then someone should tell them because looks like they're at it hard to me. Your pathetic if you cant understand sarcasm. I am a KCC fan and support the players and coaches so please quit saying that. They have the program going in the right direction and should not be fired because someones realative wants a head coaching job, the boys deserve better than that. If you finally cant understand I am FOR KCC and want them to do well then PLEASE to make another idiot reply to my statments.

I dont think that we need B.B. or Larry King at KCC. The coaching staff we have now is doing a great job. The kids are playing great together and I think that they will be the biggest suprise in the 14th region.

The super in Knott County right now is Harold Combs and I think he is doing a great job building the athletic programs back up in Knott County.

B.B. King ia helping at LCC again this year. He was on the bench for the Cougars scrimmage this past Sat.night when the Cougars played Coal Grove, Ohio. No rumor-fact
