Rockcastle has some new interest for me. I have family working up there close to the team. I know one thing. They are working. Good luck this season.

Ever since Larkey has been hired the entire program has shifted and everyone has bought in from the coaching staff the players even the community it’s obvious every Friday night with the stands packed the way they used to be. It’s great having football and Friday night lights back in Rockcastle county! Now we just got to keep building toward that next step. There is no doubt in my mind that we will get there and Chris and the entire coaching staff will bring Rock hard football back! As for this game goes Rock will be to much for Anderson to contain.

Rock is good, just don’t know if the offense will be mighty explosive in the first game. Might take a few games to get a rhythm with a new qb and loss of production or i would say they hit the 50s and 60s. Defense and up front is the strength early in the year for rock.

Rock doesn’t need to be explosive we’re not the flashy spread you out team from last year and to be honest we may never see that type of offense again but what we will be is a team that will beat you down and wear you out in the trenches while chugging away left, right middle and the thing with this team we still have Isaiah who will be key to that “explosive” quick TD possibility. Our QB while lacking the experience that Tucker did still is athletic enough and can run with the ball and throw the ball. Our defense and Oline will be the staple of this years team but are very capable enough to compete and win district again this year and who knows what the playoffs will hold should be fun year again can’t wait to get things started!

Rock should win this one. But they will have to rely on there defense alot more this season. Looked strong in the scrimmage, ready to get the season started

Rockcastle should win this one easliy, just like most of the rest of their schedule. If they don't go at least 9-1 against the powerhouses they play this season, something will have went terribly wrong.

With Rockcastle building back to what they were, why are they cancelling middle school games against good competition?  They cancelled the game with Meece already this season.  But they waited until after Meece had destroyed Northern on Saturday to do so.

Buchanan's team will be better than last year and Rock did lose a lot, but I believe they still win pretty easily. 35-7

We always take extra pride in beating the colonels tail so red they can’t sit down all week :-) hopefully it won’t be long until the high school rockets get in on the action and spank your colonels tail too  until then have to settle for the middle school team to do it.

The fans are down to earth. At the regional game last year when they beat Lawrence, I got to talk and hang out with a few of there fans!! They were all about the country ol get your azz busted if you acted up kinda way!! Just like the good people in Lawrwnce county was

It’s right beside the red light in front of the elementary school and directly across from the pharmacy also the hospital is across from thru the red light. If your on 150 past IGA and go few more miles through red light intersection for Somerset is Marcella Farm to fork it’s next to Lonestar feed store it’s the only restaurant off 150 I believe so you may have ate Snack Shack but it’s off 25 both are good places to eat

I enjoyed my first visit to Lawrence County and the people there many years ago when though my Colonels got smoked ... I love my Rock castle friends. My great grandmother was born in Rockcastle  County. My grandmother told me about riding a train as a little kid with her mother from Jellico, TN to visit her uncle at Wildie, KY.

The timing sure seems odd.  Both Rockcastle and Clay County had people at the Northern vs Meece game on Saturday.  Both cancelled with Meece on Sunday.  I think Meece replaced at least one of them with Lexington Catholic.
