My sources in Owingsville say that Brandon Brewer has accepted the head coach position at Bath County. Thoughts?

I think they might be the worst team in the state. I really thought he would go to Estill Co. Best of luck to him

Could possibly pull some guys from down south with his previous connections in Stanton, see this being a hard place for anyone to win though. Best of luck!

Bath County could have hired Nick Saban when he retired and still not won. They are terrible. Doesn’t matter how good the coach is if there is no talent to work with

good luck to Brewer

Also hearing that former Montgomery Co head coach Dan Gooch will be joining the staff under Brewer….

Gooch and Brewer are close so this makes sense.
I had heard he applied at Bath, but I assumed the Estill job was preferred.
Best of luck to coach Brewer! I’ll be pulling for the Wildcats as long as they aren’t playing Prestonsburg.

Congratulations to Coach Brewer, I think this is a great hire for Bath. Brewer will be able to instill a program over the offseason just trust him folks.

Estill must have they’re guy if Brandon went to Bath.

New staff has more to work with than known on this site. They will compete and win games this year. Brewer can build a district competitor from there if he’s in for the long haul.

Is this not Scooter? Tri-county pipeline... has been lost.

Perfect job for Brewer! Little to no expectations, no tradition, and if you win 5-6 games a year you are a rockstar!

Incredible hire by Bath County! Brewer will have this team working, competing, and winning in short order.

It is not, that means he turned it down and Brewer was, at best, choice #2.

If Bath County would’ve hired Scooter over Brewer they’d have gotten what they deserved. Bath admin never truly considered him.
Not many coaches they could’ve got better than Brewer if any.

Gentlemen,
Brewer was the number one choice and that is a stone cold fact. Dan Gooch, one of the best defensive coaches I have been around is going to be the DC. The strength and conditioning program will be second to none and those boys are going to play hard. Based on the realignment next year, Bath could be set up for a lot of success. This program will be built the right way, top to bottom.

Brewer will bring a strong work ethic if the kids buy in he will be successful. Coach Brewer is a great coach and while i do not know who his staff is I’m sure he will build a staff that will be successful. Bath has a lot to look forward to if they all buy in.

He will be successful if he hits the ground running.
