Beatdown on one of the best teams in class 5A. I look Scott County and LCA to finish the season at 9-1 with their only losses to Boyle. Quisenberry and Brown are Shake N Bake!

They sure are. And from the tube, Bodner and Dawson were great as well. They are a WELL oiled machine right now on offense.

Now I’m waiting for 64 and Bull to become UNspeechless and give us a rundown.

Boyle County is 5 Touchdowns better than any team in 4A right now in my opinion. That's honestly what I see. Too much options all over the field and I don't know how any team can match Boyles speed across the board. Bodner running the ball in beast mode. Sage Dawson putting the needle on the record. I got a new name for Quisenberry. Im going to call him the Sling Shot. Brown, meanest man in the whole dang town. That dude just has the look of give me the ball and get out of my way. Now, Scott County is a very good team. But man is Boyle County playing at a level that is just that, another level.....When your good, you lay the wood! Smile

Is everyone else playing for runner-up , in your opinion?

Sorry, Bull. I just now saw your post. I think you answered my question. lol 5 TDs better than Corbin??? WOW!!! The Corbin kids and those aboard the Tommy train have to be disheartened to hear that. I just hope our kids believe they have a chance, not only next week but against Boyle on 11/18(or at Kroger).

I'm sorry for what I said earlier about Boyle's speed, saying they only have Brown and Quisenberry. I was wrong. That dang ol defense is FAST. Them boys fly around on defense and offese really just give the ball to Brown, Quisenberry and Bodner. They will do the rest. Damn good football team. I thought Brock Driver was MVP on defense, he was a beast tonight!

I think Bull, Viz, and Sur need to pool their vast financial resources and buy them a little villa outside of Danville, maybe a little rustic flat on the outskirts of Titletown. They are clearly enamored by the speedy Rebels and their head honcho on the headset. Maybe the ol'ball coach and MeLady Haddix will invite the trio to the mansion for a quaint little Sunday brunch, where they can swap stories of what it used to be like living in the Tri-Counties and suffering through 40-year title droughts...and stuff. :)

Game wasn't even as close as the score. Boyle's defense is really, really good. The offense is out of this world.

They need to work on the kicking game, though. :)

It appeared to me that the Boyle kicking games took a step back this week as well. Just kick it deep, stay in your lane and let team speed catch them deep.

I think it would only be right if you joined along. The more people that goes in the better!   I just wanna stay in it 1 night a week.  That’s Friday. I can see it now.  Loud music, bonfires, air mattresses everywhere. May could even get a few of the Corbin BOE members to provide the refreshments.

Scott County needed to execute its game plan to perfection to beat Boyle County. If didn't.

Boyle County is not unbeatable but there is not much room for error for any opponent that wants to walk away with a win. All-star teams have their weaknesses, just like any other talented team.

Old School, the difference with Haddix family and others is this. When you come to a game and they know you are there, they hug you, talk to you, treat you like family because they love Football. We go down on the sideline and talk to everyone when we are there. So not many coaches will do that, but Haddix is a Legend in the making. Treats everyone like a friend! His staff is the same way! Everyone there will talk your head off!

Boyles my favorite. Bit people talking about demolishing a top team in 5A? Come on. The let Lincoln score 20 on them. They didn’t necessarily wipe the floor with great crossing. Their scores so far hasn’t jumped off the paper. Their opponents so far who have been horrible have a combined wins of 4!!! So no, not a top team in 5A IMO. But as I said, it don’t matter, because boyle IS!!! And they don’t have to prove anything to me. You just watch them and see it. Although their triumph over LCA is a big statement to the fact. Is it fair to assume the offense is better than the D with them?

LCA needed about 3 or 4 inches(that's also what my ex said about me, btw) on that 4th down and they probably end up beating Boyle. The Justin Rebs are not unbeatable, not by any stretch of my wild imagination. Crap happens as football seasons go along that can change the calculus of a team's ultimate success.

I bleed Red and I'm a Hound 4 Life. I don't agree with how Dave, Tommy, and the GOB network around here does things but I root for the Hounds to win 15 games every year. I never root for Boyle. That would be like rooting for Middlesboro back in the mid-seventies. GO HOUNDS!!!

I'm sorry I thought I saw somewhere that Scott County was ranked 1st. or 2nd. in about every poll out.    I must have been mistaken.   My bad.   Big Grin

I believe that Boyle will win against Corbin, but I don't think it will be by 5 TDs.

It might be bad polling.   Polls had HRC winning prior to Nov. 8, 2016. We all know how that turned out. Scott County's defense couldn't stop a cold. Wait until Boyle has to face two big ol' grizzlies.

Yeah, I think 5 scores might be a bit too much. Maybe I haven't been smoking the Haddix hemp but I think our Corbin kids give a much better showing than that. They are a very talented bunch of Hounds. I'm hoping the coaches will let the dogs out to feast beginning next Friday.

Yea cause those ranking are never wrong. And the people that vote in those polls watch football constantly. That’s why Casey co gets a first place vote haha. the same rankings that has Scott co over CAL, LCA… Corbin at #4 in the state! Haha.  Again, if you believe a top 10 team in any class is giving up those points to those teams… well 5A must be the weakest class in Ky this year. But again, boyle don’t have to prove anything. They are head and shoulders above the rest. Scott co on the other hand, is a pretender, not CONtender. But I respect your opinion. That’s just mine.

Just not sure how anyone going to stop them, and they don't have to run the ball to win or dominate. So if you have a stud dline, they can just spread you out with those quick passes. You have to have a stud dline and a stud secondary. Haven't seen Douglas yet so can't comment on them. So imo only way you going to beat them is outscore them. How old is Haddix? Some College should hire him as a OC. Great Offensive mind and of course those special players don't hurt. Might be the best team in the State.

Could be bad polling but ALL polls and computer ranking has them at or near the top.  Please do tell who are the top teams in 5A?

The only polls that will matter in the end is who has the bigger pole, Tommy or Justin. Last year it was Justin. Let's see if Tommy's pole has grown in the past year. That may decide who wins a 4A title.

Boyle is just that good, not sure Scott loses another regular season game.  Only time will tell.

You cannot assume LCA wins vs Boyle if they get the first down where Boyle stopped them. Maybe on the next play Quisenberry or Brown gets another interception. Even if LCA does score it’s not exactly like they stopped BC much all night. If they get that first down it definitely makes things more interesting but that doesn’t mean LCA would have won. LCA’s the real deal, but Boyle was better that night
