Hazard @ Raceland 11/18
#31
Hazard will keep it interesting for a half, but I believe the Rams will pull away once they get into a groove.

Raceland - 27
Hazard - 7

Won’t be surprised if Hazard pulls the shocker and won’t be surprised if Raceland wins by 40.
One thing that will surprise Raceland is Johnson of Hazard will be the best player on the field. If Raceland D doesn’t tackle Johnson any better than they tackled Birchfield last year (i.e. they couldn’t) the tears will be falling like rain. Not to mention Paintsville throwing for 300 on Raceland and Hazard QB has a good arm.

Having said that Raceland has been waiting for this all year while feasting at the cupcake buffet and I think they take care of business.

Should be a helluva close game then...    Smile

(The 455 number was from 2015-16). Wonder why the drop of almost one-third in five years?

New middle school was built in 2020. All 7th and 8th graders moved to the middle school.

That’s good on the no injuries. I thought I saw that Connor Hughes limped off the field against Paris, but may of been another game I looked at.

Raceland 56
Hazard 6

Hazard is a strange beast. If Raceland doesn’t show up to play Hazard will beat them. Also Max Johnson is a great athlete and on defense he jumps routes all the time. Could be an interesting game. I think Raceland is better but ya never know .
#52
This one may be competitive for a little while but Raceland will eventually pull away and win comfortably.

If my Tigers are not able to pull off the win against Pikeville Friday night then I’ll have to stick with my preseason prediction of The Rams winning their first state title…….Good Lord that was EXTREMELY HARD to Type!

As much as I respect the Paintsville football program I don’t think they have a shot against Pikeville.  Pikeville is a lot better than they were when they ran the clock against Paintsville earlier this season and I can’t see the second time around being much different.  As far as Raceland goes, should we get to the championship game and see Pikeville I hope that we can pull it off but it would be an uphill battle based on recent history between the 2 teams.  But before we even talk about that we have to get past a Hazard team that is capable of playing the spoiler this Friday night.

No worries, BB- neither of those things will happen.

This season has been a little boring in the past few weeks.  I’m happy my team is still playing but personally I’ve had a lot of other things that I’ve been focused on and haven’t gotten into football like I have in years past.

Understand that I guess we all have other things to focus on but I do miss some of the going back and forth like it used to be. I wish both of these 2 nothing but the best of luck in this game and hope for an injury free game for both. I like both teams but I do think Raceland wins and it makes it harder for me to even try to get something going like I did in the Raceland and Lawrence County game which isn’t  really me and Ramdad called me out on it. Mostly I just read them and laugh

This puts everything in perspective OB. Hope you and yours are in good health and hope you are able to be on hand at Kroger in a couple weeks.
