Denny Fugate to Jackson City
#1
Jackson City has hired Denny Fugate as the new head boys basketball coach
#2
Eye opener
#3
Interesting hire!
#4
Good Luck Coach Fugate!
#5
Good luck great hire
#6
He have a decent team. Good Luck coach Fugate.
#7
Good fit for both. Glad to hear this.
#8
He is the best coach in eastern ky
#9
Will Breathitt try to get Coach Fugate, now that Amis has resigned? Hope not!!!
#10
I don't think Breathitt will try to bring Coach Fugate back, I think Doug Noble or Brandon Hayes will most likely take over. I doubt Breathitt will have a job to offer anyone outside the system which really shortens the list of coaches.
#11
Great Hire for Jackson City. Bad for Breathitt Co. Denny will have every player in the County at Jackson City. Good luck my friend.

If they want to win lol they will
#13
Jackson has got some talented younger kids. If they can keep them together and Coach Fugate stays there for a while the future looks bright! Best of luck to Coach Fugate and the Tigers....

Maybe in 1984! The game has passed him up!

I think he is a very good coach. I doubt he has lost a step on coaching. If he was best in 1984 he is best today.
#16
Are any of Breathitt's players going to Jackson?
#17
If I remember correctly when he was at Breathitt County he had Knott beat at Knott. wasnt that the regional finals? So he knows the game. He may not win the region because it hard to compete against the big school that recruit every year. I say this he knows more about basketball than any one in the region.
#18
A Bad call at Knott 80feet away from the basket

With as weak as the the 14th will be this up coming year anything is possible. There is no locks on who will be regional champions. If the bigger schools don't recruit it untelling what will happen.6 or 8 teams have a shot at the regional title.

1. Knott
2. Estill

No way Letcher is ranked that high with three starters graduating, including Carter.
It will be Knott, Perry and Estill in the top three spots, most likely. Cordia still has talent.
#27
I think Wolfe and Breathitt both have enough talent to beat anyone on a given night.
#28
Its anyone game Estill and Wolfe got to prove they can win in big games. Perry going o be down unless they can get help. Knott will be fair. Hazard much improved. Letcher Breathitt not so good, Its anybody regional to win come march.
#29
Breathitt would have won the region and beat knott if the ref hadn't called a phantom foul 80 feet from the goal when the defender was about 2 feet away from justice. so denny is a hell of a coach and he will make it to the region this year with Jackson city

Breathitt lost Barnett, Griffith, and Little to graduation. O'Hair (Estill Co.) and Parks (Hazard) transferred.

Wolfe County returns a lot, including the same coach they've had for many years they can compete with anyone in the region.
