Bowling Green vs. Pulaski Co. (5A State Championship)
#31
Pulaski 21 BG 7 Back 2 Back state champs! PC too much on defense for the Purples.

Jim tends to exaggerate a little. Take it with a grain of salt.

Tried to look up Maxpreps top 2000 football teams and nothing came up! All I could find was some top 25 polls.Where can I look it up?

I'm not one to predict scores but I do think this will be a tough game for both teams. Bowling Green has the speed advantage and is loaded with talent. But, Pulaski has just as much talent if not more and are being overlooked. With Pulaski will to win and their ability to overcome adversity, I'm taking the maroons in this one

Thank you (Iam4thecats) that's the first time seeing that site! Not sure how they get their rankings though! I'd think since PC beat Cooper last year to go to state, they would be ranked higher than them this year.I know that was then and this is now but PC's only loss this year was to a top 300 team!!
#39
I think PC can keep it somewhat close with that qb. I do think BG wins though.

The arrogance just oozes out of every post put on here by a BG fan.
#41
Pulling for Pulaski county. Good luck to all
#42
34-7 PC. They're out to prove something.

The arrogance oozes? That's a new one for me. I've been oozing arrogance all these years and never knew it. I wish someone would have told me.

I think people mistake confidence for arrogance. I guess if you are not from an area where your team achieves the level, over a course of years, that a BG has then you just are not used to understanding what their fans see. I can tell you because I am lucky enough to live in one of those such areas. The reason we may sound arrogant is due to past experiences. We see multiple state title contenders. We therefore, can look at our teams and make the comparison to how good this years team stacks up against former champions. We then can tell with just a few weeks just how good our team is. Now, granted there could be a team out there that we may overlook or there may be injuries that come along. So, when fans from these bases post their thoughts, I don't think they are being arrogant, I think they simply feel like they are telling you the truth. Sorry if it offends someone but that's the way we feel.

You know you are a hated arrogant bunch (BG) when you have Southwestern fans pulling for PC. I'm with them though, I'd rather lose every game wearing Blue as to win wearing purple.

Nobody is mistaken. You are arrogant.

Can't wait for the opportunity the Maroons have to repeat! All you can ask for is OPPORTUNITY TO PROVE. These kids are battling multiple injuries and have been all season, but that has not stopped their HUNGER. BG is loaded and so are we. I am betting it will be a high scoring affair, but I'm looking for the Maroon D to stop them more than they stop Hall and company.
GO MAROONS!
#52
PC better come ready to play,They can't come out in the first half like they did aganist NL and HHS and expect to win!! I think PC will win but they have to play their best in all 4 quarters!!!

I don't get all the hate. Pulaski County is the reining state champ. I don't hate them. I have admired what they have done for the last four years. They have a great coaching staff and a ton of talent. I think we do too. Both teams have seen so much film on each other over the last few years that they know each other all too well. Our fans are outnumbered 10-1 on this board and that's fine, but read some of your own posts. Arrogance is running wild on all the threads, it's not just the Purples. Pulaski County has not beaten Bowling Green, until they do, I think the Purples are the favorite. Do you think we should pull for Pulaski County? We are fans just like everyone else. Nothing more and nothing less.

You would? Well, thats just dumb.

Maroons repeat in a shoot out.

I was for Pulaski against NL and Highlands and it had nothing to do with their fan bases. Same this week, The reason this Southwestern fan is rooting for PC is because they are hometown kids and has nothing to do with BG fan base.

I think the people showing all the hate isn't even Pulaski fans at all!!! However I do have to disagree with what you said about PC never has beaten BG! I know a lot of people will say middle school doesant count but PC seniors have beaten BG seniors on several different occasions.I know teams change, players leave, coaches are different but still this isn't the first time these two have met.
#58
I am going with the defending champs PC 24-20. I think Hall is a true winner at crunch time. Good luck Maroons!

You are correct. That just shows how much both of these teams know each other. There won't be many surprises in this one. Good Luck.

I can understand what your talking about with the tradition at BG,it is one of winning! However this year your playing a team that is also custom to winning. This Sr. class has won their entire football life,7th grade state championship,8th grade state championship,9th grade regional runner up where most of them were starting as freshmen,10th grade State runner up's where yes they lost to a Sr. dominated BG,11th grade State Championship, and now 12th grade playing for another State title. These boys have played for a State Championship every year since the 7th grade.
