Didn't get a chance to go so I called my friend who went to Corbin and lives their and he said it was the refs where calling for Corbin. Does anyone know the free throw results for both teams.

I take back what I said about Corbin.
Unless it was some big time referee machine, great win for the Hounds.

great game lots of fouls called on both teams, Corbin has a lot of speed and they drive to the ball to the basket so they are going to get a lot of free throw opportunities. Zak Mageut done a great defensive job on Beverley tonight, and Andrew Taylor had 32 points (best freshman that I have seen).

Just the opposite of how games were called last year. Corbin's Taylor was the best player on the floor tonight.

Congrats to the Hounds!

Good...taste of PCCs own medicine

PCC had no answer for Taylor. Awesome!!!

Aint looking good in Doresland. Especially letting a freshman drop 32 on them. Wheres the D? Justice may drop 60.

Tony is the most underrated coach in the 13th region great win hounds

Well 1)you have to be an idiot to think Beverly wasn't the best player on the floor. Chasing him with a good junk D. ? Diamond and1? And he still done well. 2)the 13th can never say anything about refs in the 14th. (that's all I'm gonna say) 3) scorekeeper didn't have the right score. 4) this is a great game for PCC, this is what they will have to face to get to the sweet 16. (junk D, chasing Beverly, Beverly never gets any calls his way, teammates have to step up and help. Great tournament like environment. Take this game and learn how to win in this type of situation! Keep your heads up PCC. And this Corbin team is tough as nails too. Don't want to take nothing from them by this statement but Beverly was the best player on the floor. Great early season D redhounds! Thanks for preparing us for the future!

Before you call someone an idiot, maybe you should work on your reading comprehension.

Haha, maybe I should have said "no basketball sense". LOL........walk by the college coaches sitting there and ask them. The ones I talked to knew, How about the ones you talked to?

I didn't see that and if it happened let me be the first to apologize for it! Was it a player or coach? Again I hope the Corbin kids accept our apologies. sorry!

Haven't seen the Corbin freshman but have heard he's a nice player. Is he a shooter or a slasher? I've heard he's the latter.
Beverly is very good and we all know that. Period. He's heady and a great facilitator. Makes great decisions. His shot has improved. Seems to be a good kid as well. I'm a fan of his game.
Now, PCC fans crying about home cooking and saying Beverly never gets any calls? That'd be hard to say with a straight face.

Coach P and Coach West do a good job getting the Hounds ready

I blame Ira combs.
He was putting up solid numbers.
Then he had an injury at the concession stand.
Hot dogs win.

I was told that Corbin shot 54 free throws and perry shot 19. Big difference. Seems like the refs might have helped out because when a team shoots 35 more free throws and wins by just 2 points on 2 free throws. Sounds kind of suspicious.

Concession stand injuries are no joke. They can be devastating. Especially hotdog injuries.

Don't think he's very underrated. To most he's in the top 2 or 3 in the region if not the mountains. Hoskins at PCC may be overrated.
12-07-2014, 10:38 PM
Yeah he may be over rated I took a bunch of 8th graders and freshman over there last spring and played right with him

Does anyone know the true stats?

I was there and I'm an impartial fan. Was scouting for another team and I will say this. Corbin did get a few calls but there was nothing that I would say they was robbed. Corbin did shoot more free throws because they attacked the basket all night and perry settled for a lot of 3's. There was a questionable call on Beverly late but u have to expect that on the road. Plain and simple Corbin out played perry IMO.
