Williamsburg may not have been competitive in Bowling Green last year but they were there.I like to see teams play a tough schedule too and I'm not a Williamsburg fan.I just think they are better than some of you know. I've also thought Pikeville would be in the mix since last year.
Williamsburg at Paintsville next year should be a good one.

a lot of keep talking Williamsburg at Pikeville this year but that is not yet a done deal :biglmao:

Mayfield will be there for sure but the other 3 teams I am uncertain. But my picks before the season started was Mayfield,Frankfort, Pikeville and Hazard. Williamsburg is the favorite because they made it last year and returned a ton plus extras.. I just don't think they can win at Hazard.

You're exactly right Williamsburg will have a hard time getting to Pikeville.

I picked Frankfort since last year but now I'm struggling to pick them or Beechwood to face Mayfield.

Williamsburg needs to start giving Massey more carries. They are going to need to do so if they plan on getting past the semis. Raceland and Pikeville both play very balanced defense and dont have to get out of their base D very often and both are very good against the pass. The Jackets have been successful this year. Hell, They are better than they were last year. But so is everyone else. They need to start getting a good run game going. Massey is too good to only be getting 6-10 carries a game.

If not it will be their downfall

I pointed this out on another thread. I was making the point some rankings keep Pikeville in front because of this very fact.

Massey can be shut down, although 'Burg faithful don't think so. Add up his yardage and TDs against teams Harlan Co. lost to last year. 4 games if memory serves. You can bet those tapes will be watched over and over.

I think Mayfield will go to Beechwood and take care of business. I also think they will do the same the next week in BG. I also think this season is setting up perfectly for what we want. The jv season is about over so, I think that frees up some new weapons that will spread the field more like Jackson did last year. The defense is also playing well enough that there is almost an entirely new offensive package that will not be shown until late in the post season.

Oh yea, I almost forgot about the "secret package?" They better keep the trick plays in their back pocket and keep doing what's been working. Why change it? I don't think a wildcat package is going to throw Pikeville off in the championship?

About to serve you 64...You have to watch last year's tapes to see Massey play against a decent team. Then watch how those good teams shut him down.hh:
