Baxter is a player but I've been hearing a lot of rumors that he is not going to play this coming season. Can anyone verify?

Heard same thing reason he wasn't on my list. Off the court issues.

Best of luck to the him.
I wouldn't mind seeing him in black and gold.
#11

#12

Yea or maybe just the most talkative fans. :yikes:
But the word around CC right now is that Smith and Farmer are looking CRAZY good and that House is stepping up big time. Gonna be another fun year in CC.:1:
#16
If he is utlized the right way and other players can play to their role of the team and not let jealousy kick in...........Smith from Clay will be the best player in the region for the next 2 years.

1:Smith
2:Marsee
3:Barger
4:Taylor
5:Farmer
6:Collier
#17
People are going to be really surprised at just how good Smith is!
#18
The kid has the basketball body if he can put a little weight and maturity on it which looks like he has slightly. Smith is really long with good leaping ability and the type of guy that with some coaching and work should be able to guard the other teams best defender. House is a pest so he will probably take that role. Ready to see Blake in game situations without McDaniel though. Chip opened up a lot of things for everyone the past couple of years. If not this year, he will be the best player in the region in 2016. Just on pure offense I would give the nod to Farmer. Clay should have 4 of the top 10 players in the region IMO making them the best team with Knox right on their heels.

Close
Three of the top 11, four of the top 15.

It's pretty crowded with guys like Barger, Baxter, Broughton, Marsee, Miller, Taylor, Collier, Griffith, not counting the Clay guys.

It's a crowded region but I keep hearing rumors on both Baxter and Collier, any word? House to me would be in that 10-12 category.
#21
Wouldn't you guys in Clay know if Colllier wasn't there? He played with Jackson in the summer and was with the team a couple of weeks ago from what I was told.
I'm not as sure about Baxter, but the last I heard he was still there.

House was a tremendous role player last year, but he didn't start. It's almost impossible to be ranked on a top 10 list when you have three guys on your own team ahead of you. He may be there when it's over, but he didn't put up any numbers last year. I'm sure everyone in the region would love to have him though.
#22
To be honest I didn't watch the summer game so I wouldn't know. If both of those guys play then that would obviously push House back a couple of spots but he's right on that line. I'd be shocked if he wasn't at least mentioned by the end.

baxter will not play. with his departure south has picked up several kids that have not played n the past that will help. 3 baseball players and a track kid. They have a long way to go to get ready for basketball, they have not played in awhile but will work hard and all will help by middle of season

Wish Baxter the best of luck. Heard the big kid is really raw too, but has a lot of potential but maybe a year away.
#25
You are overlooking the griffin boys and Massey
#26
The older Griffith made it even though he was hurt most of the year. The younger one hasn't done enough yet. Massey quit last year and his numbers weren't that impressive.
#27
I believe the younger Griffith boy is one of the tallest boys in the 13th. We will see. I predict that Williamsburg will win the regional championship, Who, has better athletes. Andrew and Skylor Griffith, Massey, Shelton, Lowery. As A group all seniors except Andrew, What team can match them? sure there might be one better here and there but each one being on the same team.
#28
Remember you got it here first before season starts from Topnotch.
#29
By the way it falls off fast after the first unit.
#30
Once again seniors mean nothing or than they have no younger talent. And just because u run like a deer doesn't mean u can put the ball in the basket. Good runners = track/cross country. And if the rumors are true with Baxter going to Knox then this region is a 2 horse race with them and Clay. I'll take Clays 3 juniors over Williamsburg's best 3 any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Smith is a D1 talent and farmer and wolf aren't far behind. Heck I'll even take North Laurel 2 sophomore and the freshman rice over ur 3. U my friend are in a fantasy land
