Started this thread to explain part of the disappointment this season has been.

I understand the first year Coaches scheme but no improvement has been shown and it is time to start asking questions.

They have 3 wins against 3 of the worst teams in FCS football and even against those 3 teams have given up the most yards and points those team have had this year.

Moreheads problem is the lack of offensive movement and poor defensive schemes.

They had an All-PFL running back coming into the season which they don't use half as much as you should. And an ALL-PFL linebacker that you have playing more inside than outside when he is an OLB.

The biggest complaint as a dedicated fan that I have is the fact that they run a Gap Defense. If 1 person messes up it leaves a hole a mile wide. Moreheads problem is the have an athletic defensive lineup that's, not what you run a gap defense with. There trying to throw chickens in the water and tell them there ducks.

Another big question I must ask is why in the world are you forcing your True Freshman QB to throw 40+ times a game? He's a special player that I understand, but he is a Freshman and it has been apparent as teams are making him throw to the left and he cant get threw his reads quick enough to make it happen
You have a good running back let him get into rhythm and pound the rock. Don't give the other teams offense the ball back ever 2 minutes in the game.

Moreheads defense is currently ranked 119/122 FCS schools and gives up 517 yard per game.

Outlook is build for next year as the season is over with last weeks loss to Drake. They still had a chance with a victory over Drake & Butler.

The outlook is bright as almost all PFL teams graduate more than 12 starters out of 22. Morehead will return with a decent Senior class and Gahafer has been a special player this season. As a sophomore i'd say he continues to elevate to the next level.

The defense needs to be more aggressive attack these PFL teams force the turnovers make the big plays. This gap defense will fail again in the PFL and if you think it won't please explain to me how 119/122 is doing something right?

The only whole game I've seen Morehead St play this year was on tv against U Pike. They did not look that good. I thought they actually looked better against EKU (which I got to see some of). Hopefully for you and the rest of their fans next year will be better. Do you go to a lot of their games? You seem to be a really big fan.

I've gone to about 6/10 games the past 3 years. Have family and former players that are on the team so I try and show support but this season has been trying.
