#10
just go ahead and put perry at #1 in the region, the kid can flat out hoop..game changer
#11
Makes things interesting for sure!
#12
Still 3rd in region and will stay there. At best, makes or un game.
#13
I originally thought this would be the difference maker, but after watching Evan Hall perform, I'm not so sure. He REALLY impressed me when I watched him. Moreso than anyone I've seen in a while.
#14
I'm just curious? Why do they even look into players moving to play basketball? The kid wanted to better himself and his future. How they rule some ineligible and some eligible amazes me.

What's the point?

Will find out soon enough. Wymt is in two weeks all the contenders are in it should be interesting. WYMT in not at Hindman this year. Oh I'm trying to remember who was the last team to beat KCC at Hindman. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

My position will always be that kids should always be ruled eligible if they move with their family and it is over the summer.

No one seems to agree...

^ I agree 100%

Great news for the Commodores as well as Johnson. Seems they made him sit until the last possible day. Has really sat the entire 1st semester as well as 8 season games and the pre season. KHSAA really plays a lot of politics. But eligible now and good luck. Athletics build character. Brother Cecil.

Congrats Commodores!

Going to be an interesting year for sure!

Perry and Knott play back to back tomorrow at the Republic Bank Classic. Perry plays at 6 and Knott follows at 7;30. Know several people planning on driving down to watch both teams. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

Here's a way to understand it better, i guess

stage 1: high school kid transfers: by rule, immediately ineligible
stage 2: school fills out paper work, sends it to KHSAA
stage 3: KHSAA reads papers, makes a ruling: if eligible, that's it
stages 1 thru 3: 1-2 weeks, unless someone goes on vacation :eyeroll:

stage 4: if ruled ineligible, school and kid appeal ruling, makes phone calls
stage 5: repeat stage 3, if eligible, that's it
stages 4 & 5: 1-2 weeks

stage 6: if ineligible, school and kid go to KHSAA, make their case in court
stage 7: court makes a ruling, if ineligible, kid sits out one year
stages 6 & 7: 1 to 2 months

Im glad Johnson is able to play but how can kids in the past have to wait a year to play and others are able to play the same year they transfer at certain schools (PCC and etc). That shows that as long as you have some teams that know how to get kids able to play and other teams that play by the rule. I hope the kids from cordia are able to play because they are no different than Johnson from PCC. It would be bad if they are not able to play. But with PCC running eastern ky KHSAA they probably want be able to play this year. I think the problem with PCC will be the head coach. That will be the reason they will stumble in the 14th region. He could not win the region at clay and sheldon clark. He has already run two players off this year team. Parents at sheldon clark said they are glad he left their school because the kids has a real coach now.

I understand it fully.

All I'm saying is, if someone decides to transfer even for basketball reasons they should be allowed.

Amen. Some kids play at three different schools in 4 years. No big deal. Let them play. Athletics build character. Brother Cecil.

The problem doesnt lie with kids moving. It lies with schools, coaches, boosters, etc. actively recruiting these kids to come to their school. If it was a matter of a kid simply moving, it isnt a big deal. The KHSAA is trying to enforce a rule that they cant. Cheaters are going to cheat. The Johnson move is as legal as most of the moves that have went on around the 14th

I wouldn't call it cheating. Just a kid wanting more recognition and publicity to further his career to fulfill his dream.

I disagree with the letem all move. The rules were put in place to keep the schools with a strong economic base from stealing the best kids from poorer areas. And dont give me he will get more exposure. With all the media today if he can play the college coaches know about him.
