This is gonna happen all season for the Rams.
Paintsville NEVER pressed and stayed in a zone most of the night. The entire second half was a running clock. Paintsville worked on their fast break and their half court offense. Emptied their bench in the 1st half.
Hats off to the Rams players though. They just wanted to play ball, no matter the score. They kept their heads held high and played hard till the end. Classy bunch of YOUNG kids.
Next up for the Tigers next Thursday at Jenkins.

Over/Under on posts until someone calls Paintsville classless and demands BMR resign? I'll set it at 10.5.

I don't understand why RC doesn't switch over to the KCSAA where they might actually have a chance to win a few games or at least make most of their games competitive.

I wouldn't call it classless but I don't understand why you would schedule this team to begin with. Theres not a single coach who doesn't do the research of a team before they make the schedule and BMR knew what the outcome would be.
Regardless great to see BMR back on the sidelines and the kids playing excited again. I predict a huge season for the Tigers :Cheerlead :Cheerlead. And OTH is right a couragous bunch of kids Riverside Christian has.

BMR really beefed up the schedule...Riverside and Jenkins back to back to start the season.

Should of scored 200.
Could have been a record breaker game.

Doesn't Riverside start a 5th or 6th grader?
11-28-2012, 02:46 PM
^According to KHSAA everyone is 7th or high. But, I will tell you now. The two they started at guard didn't look like they were in the 4th grade.

Did Hensley get thrown out of game for hanging on the rim, if so does he set out the next game.

The schedule may have been completed before BMR took the job. I know alot of coaches begin their next season schedules immediately when the current season is over. This could have been Ratliff's doings. Regardless shame on whom ever is responsible.
11-28-2012, 08:11 PM
Poor Riverside... I feel sorry for you.
11-28-2012, 08:32 PM
I listened to the radio show before the game. BMR stated that most coaches fill their schedule immediately following the state tournament. However, after the resignation of Coach Ratliff, the Tigers only had 4 games. Also, BMR stated that Coach Les Trimble finished the scheduling for them on short notice before the season began (due to him also serving as head FB coach).

Paintsville played a half court trap the whole game,,,they doubled team Riverside's young guards every chance they could as soon as they crossed half court..Coach Turner's young players played very hard but Paintsville half court trapped for 32 minutes

^My thoughts at the game were it was a quick whislte also but after seeing it on film. It was a good call. He wasn't in danger with someone under him nor was his momentum going to cause him to come down hard. The semi pullup and bringing the knees up is what cause the call.
11-29-2012, 11:13 AM
Yeah I think that's a pretty good call. Like Ike said, the pull up is what done it. Had he not done that he probably wouldn't have gotten a Technical.

From the looks of the kids that he was playing with...
he probably had to do that and look down to make sure no one was under him inglepar
