Im going to get ahold of these stats soon. They didnt say them on the radio as they usually do.
yea thats what happened... its really going to hurt us down the road having this freshman qb because its going to be hard to beat a good team that know your going to run the ball everytime! i think they should try and let him develope some kinda short passing game.. they done got the quick pass to the sideline down. maybe run some slants or screens.. we are missing ozzy badly especially this game!!

Bell does have some good passing plays. I have seen them, but from what I have seen out of the cats the play calling shows no faith in this part of the game. I said it last year and I will say it again. The offensive play calling maybe cost them against L.C last year and it will cost them soon enough this year. I have watched alot of football in my time and I understand with the R backs they have you do need to run the ball mainly but I have seen bell throw slants and sidelines to the wideout Green and they was very successful when they did this. Last couple of close games I have seen of Bells the slant was their all night long and whoever calls the offense cant see past 3 or 4 yards. Congrats to both teams on a great game!!!

To be honest, i dont think the pass was an option for Bell tonight.
Our D lineman was hitting the qb right after the snap of the ball.
I think both D lines out did both olines.

I'm glad someone else notices the play calling. Open up the play book the next game. We have the athletes.

The 4th and 1 on your own 15 or so really baffled me and changed this game, the game was a field position game through out the first half until this play. The play killed Whitleys kids and they did not get over it until after the half. I really didnt see either team going to score in the first half until the play changed the game. Good hard fought game by both teams and look forward to playing both of them. Bryant needs to be tackled early or you can forget about it. Really surprised not seeing much action from Polly and Collet they are both really good backs and surprised they dont stay on the field more. Good luck to both these teams.

Great ball game. Have to give Bobcats props on their final drive. Also was very proud of my Colonels. The run by Big 44 was one of the best runs I've seen.:yikes:

Couldnt agree more. I almost died when he didnt put the punt team in....
We were doing prefectly fine on defense and you do not take that chance. It still baffles me how many stupid calls we make on a weekly basis.
If we punt there and get a stop, it completely changes the game. Its like we spotted Bell 7 on that one.

Too many critics. Whitley is good and anyone who follows football would have known this. Surprised that more Bell fans didn't realize this before the game started. Every game isn't a cake walk. Hard for a freshman qb to step up and he has done this pretty well. Give a little time to work out all the X's and O's. Not like an injured starting qb was in the plans. I thought Bell's line played tough against a tough Whitley line. Everyone wants a piece of Bell and they will fight hard to get it. It won't be the last battle you will see this year. Good job bell on another win.

Last year L Cath game was lost due to fumbles in my book. What is bell known for? History says it has been the run. They will never go too far from power football and the run even with an experienced QB. Never seen it yet anyway.

And i quote...."whitley was in our top ten so we were expecting them to be good and there was a lot of debate over this game and it sounds like some people were right about whitley playing with bell". or something pretty close to that.
Any free advertising is good advertising for the site.
Nice plug Mr. Forrest.

Both defenses played very well tonight
I like watching a good defensive game, because the game can turn on any one given play. Usually in games like these there are few plays which could have changed the outcome. I am sure it was fun to watch.

Yea i agree too much running up the middle, whitley was clogging the middle up all night.. most of our successful runs where to the outside..

Me too i was excited to finally get to watch a close game!!

Bell had some good runs when they found the outside, but we kept containment pretty well.
Im still amazed at how both offensive line were dominated by both defensive lines.

I dont think we have a game on our schedule left that isnt winnable.
I think this will actually help us this year when it comes to playoff time. The Harlan County game should be a good one. Boyle seems to be really down, and Somerset should be a fun one after last year. IMO, we shouldnt finish worse the 5-5, but if we play to our capabilities and fix a few more things, its possible to win out.
Bell, IMO, wont have trouble until Central comes to log mtn. The only "scary" game i see for Bell would be Harlan County.

yeah i agree we must get a passing game going to keep them honest or we must do a lot better blocking and dominate the trenches..

Great game by both teams! A very enjoyable game if u love seeing hardnosed tough defenses play football.
The only thing that bothers me and I love Bell County fans but why get on here and bask your own teams coaches. I mean seriously WTF? Especially when you know nothing about football other then playing it on play station. Believe it or not mr caveman more thought goes into it other then just "running it up the middle". This isn't some pee wee team that you have coached this is a high school game. Coaches put in more hours preparing then u do, and so do the kids. So do us all a favor and keep urouth shut off of coaching.
If the coaches would have thrown the ball more and interceptions would have happened and we would have gotten beat ur ignorant mouth wouldn't have been running about that. So until you put the time in and can relate to the team keep ur comments about coaching to urself. My son plays and I don't appreciate his coaches being called out like that.
On the brighter side I enjoyed sitting in the end zone watching two teams going to war against each other tonight. That was some good old fashioned pad popping out there.
Best of luck to Whitley and keep up the good work Bobcats

Whitley is pretty good defensively, and I would say they have a good chance at winning their district. I still would not call them the district favorite, but their defense gives them a chance at winning.

When we picked off Bell on the first play of the game i dont know that ive been so excited watching us play in years. Right off the bat, Whitley came to play and it took Bell a qtr to wake up, but they only did the bend, they never broke.
