Pujols to Angels
#1
Espn.com reporting Pujols signs with Angels for 250 million
#2
good get him out of the National league
#3
St. Louis might be on suicide watch right now...

I wouldn't complain tho, he helped you win 2 World Series.

Exactly my thoughts, glad he is out of the NL Central for sure.

I find this a little surprising though, I didnt see him going to the Angels. I thought he would have re-signed with the Cards or maybe went to the Cubs. Puljos deserved that bank roll though, he is the best player in the majors.

Glad he is out of the NL Central

As a Reds fan and agreeing with what everyone else said, I am very happy that we no longer have to deal with Albert in the NL Central.

Though I will miss seeing him on the big screen as often, and guys on the West Coast tend to get lost in the Eastern media coverage.

I am happy that Albert gets his big payday. When his career is over, he just might finish as the greatest to play the game. But I not sold on the logic of the Angels giving him a 10 year contract. I understand that the only way to sign Albert was it has to be a 10 year deal, but I think that we get 3-4 years of the Albert we know before his game takes a drop.

Look out Rangers, here come the Angels!

I dont know what kind of bait they have out in LA but damn they caught a big fish.
#8
I figured he would go to the Marlins. New ball park, new name, new uniforms, new skipper, and Reyes.
#9
Thank God he's out of the NL Central.

Angels also landed Lefty CJ Wilson. It's a good day if your an Angels fan
#10
Damn Im glad he didnt. It is already hard enough for my Braves to beat out the Phillies dont need another loaded team to have to worry bout.
#11
All about the $$$$$$$$$$$
#12
Their pitching rotation is sick now with the addition of C.J Wilson.

Weaver/Haren/Wilson & Santana

Yeah...Good Luck!
#13
^ Wilson was an AWESOME pickup

Wow, I agree.

25.4 million dollars a year to play baseball. Lorrrrrrddddddddd. Glad to see him out of the NL Central as well.
#16
Glad it is L.A. and not N.Y.
#17
A 250 million dollar contract would be a stretch for any player in this league... except Albert Pujols. The guy is a class act and he delivers. Best player in the league, hands down.
#18
If Fielder signs outside of the NL Central, I will go streaking through downtown Cincinnati. No reason to let the fine citizens of NKY see my nastiness

Go Reds

Well, I seen on SportsCenter where the Cards are now going after Fielder to replace Puljos.
#20
Well, at least he didn't make a 1 hour special about his decision.

This puts the Angels as a contender now IMO.

He gets $156,790 per GAME! Assuming he plays a full season of 162 games.

Wow, all I can say is wow. I'm going to go ahead and put my 4 year old in little league this spring. Big Grin
#23
send him to the reds lol
#24
Well, for the Angels, they could care less how much money he makes per game. It's all about how many games he can help win in the Playoffs

I doubt they would make a run for Prince, IMO they'll just move Lance Berkman over to 1st and have Allen Craig & Skip Schmaker play RF.

I know the Cubs want Fielder and Fielder has interest in the Cubs
#27
I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Cubs Uni. BUT, he would still be in the Central!!!

“Relax, all right? Don’t try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they’re fascist. Throw some ground balls – it’s more democratic.”

Believe I seen somewhere, Chicago isn't really sure they have the cash to sign him.
#29
That's a lot of dough. $$$

He would put up big numbers anywhere, but I think he will do really well at this one. Nice hitters park and he can DH in the American League so if he does stay there this might even extend his career by a couple of years. Angels are going to be an even tougher out now than they were.
