Dogs cruised in this one behind 28 point from senior Chris Hayes.
Holmes led 55-15 at the half and 77-29 at the end of the third quarter.
Holmes' biggest lead was 84-29 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Booher put his last 5 off the bench in at this time and that allowed St. Henry to close the game on a 15-4 run.
Their press was in full effect last night. Chris Hayes is legit top 3 player in the region. He was everywhere and even had a nice steal and 2 hand dunk.

Why are they even playing St Henry?

St. Henry is usually pretty decent. Just not this year.

I'm a little surprised by Rice's output.

St. Henry was a preseason top 10 team...Holmes just played that well.
And Holmes is a Division II team now so they're required to play St. Henry, Highlands, Lloyd, Brossart, Newport, and Newcath.

Holmes' starters only played about 12 mins of this game.
And the way Hayes was shooting, there really wasn't many scoring opportunities for the other starters.

Looks like JB has Holmes running and gunning!

I can now see why Shelby Valley was so good during his tenure. His style really puts a lot of pressure on the opposition at both ends of the court.
I feel very fortunate that we were able to replace Henley with Booher.
