Hmm, this is going to be a dogfight in my opinion, much more so than the Belfry-Central game.
I'm going to take SC in this one. They're at home, and they have played one of the toughest schedules in the state, if not the toughest. But, Belfry has played one **** of a schedule as well. I think both teams will bring their A game to this fight and for some reason my gut is telling me SC will bring a little more.

I have not seen Belfry play this season but they are always good, and they definitely have the tradition of a winner. So we shall see Friday night what happens.
I have, however, seen Sheldon Clark play six of their seven games (missed JC) and they have shown themselves to be extremely good at times, but by the same token, they have also shown themselves to play very poorly at times. I am not going to try to analyze the team, but I do know that they have had some injuries, etc. That negative, however, can probably apply to many teams in Eastern Kentucky, or anywhere, for that matter.
Sheldon Clark has some very good athletes, no doubt, and if they get everything together, I think it will be a battle, and anything can happen.
Oh, something I would like to mention regarding the East Ridge game, I would like to comment Coach Hager for not making the point spread ridiculous and having his team to take the knee late in the game while deep in ER's territory. That showed class, for the score was fifty-something to seven, I think, at half time.

After watching BELFRY beating PC and seeing the WILLIS and PRUITT kids play, I'm going to say that it's going to be an awesome game.SC has a solid defense and a good offense, but BELFRY will prevail.

It's hard to pick against Belfry in mid-season or beyond. The Pirates always improve during the season as much as any team around because of their outstanding coaching staff. But I am going with Sheldon Clark in a nail biter at home. It should be a great game.

I gonna have to take my Cards on this one. I know their record doesn't reflect how good they are, but I think they are about to bust open.

Folks, always remember anything can, and will happen! Just ask Alabama, for not too many thought South Carolina could beat #1 Alabama. But they did!
So, SC you may be 3 - 4 but that means nothing at this time.

This will be an absolute war at The Rock! I will give a slight edge to Belfry, but this game may be close midway through the fourth....

Should be a tough fought game between Belfry and Sheldon Clark this weekend at The Rock in Martin County. I believe the team that has the least turnovers and penalties in this game will win. Also I think special teams play will be a factor in deciding the winner of this game.
I will take the Pirates by 10 in this game.

I failed to back up my prediction in my previous post.
Belfry's O-Line has never failed to move the LOS this season. Even in the losses against Ashland and Pburg, Belfry's O-line opened holes. I have personally watched Belfry play three games this season - Pburg, Ashland, and PCC. In each of those games, Belfry's O-Line played well! Two of those games were considerable losses. If they continue to play well, they will be in any game. Willis at FB looked VERY GOOD last week against the 3rd rated 3A squad. He is short, quick, and fast - and he ran VERY hard. The kid rarely goes down on first contact, and when you combine that will decent O-line surge it equals yards.
Belfry plays a LOT of young kids in critical roles (See Carr, FR. on punt returns, Robinson SO. at TB, etc). If the Pirates can get a clean game out of those guys, they are really good. They seem to be getting closer to putting together a complete effort.
The only weakness I see if on the D-line, but playing against the heavy run offense of Sheldon Clark may help that somewhat. I really like Belfry in this matchup.
Belfry's offense is different this year than i can remember in a long time. It is still a simply offense, running only a handful of plays. But, long gone is the double tight wishbone look. They tend to run the full back trap and dive OR run a motion sweep off tackle or counter that action. Its very similar in some ways to a wing T look IMO. Williams ability to run the keeper and throw accurate balls in critical situations is a difference maker.
