This should be a strong opening test for both teams. Especially considering they could matchup in the playoffs later this year. I will say Letcher, but not by much, 31-26.

Run defense will probably be pretty good..........pass defense will give up 40 to Letcher.

From what I am hearing out of London, south has finally got the athletes walking the halls on the football team. I am also hearing that Letcher lost quite a bit from last year.

Both teams lost alot, but I remember South starting alot of seniors last year. Letcher started alot of underclassmen and has a great QB back. I may be wrong on South as I get mostly second hand info but the word i'm hearing is 30 something kids out this year, maybe that is false info but going by your user name, i'm sure you can let us know.

I am hearing most of my info second hand as well since I don't live in London anymore. But I did hear numbers are around 60. South has nearly all of their production back from last year. They are saying they have picked up a few of the basketball kids that are excellent athletes.

Well 60 some is alot better than the 30 some I was hearing. I do know that the big back Miller moved away and the other running back that played alot last year, I think his name was McCarty, is not playing this year. Vaughn was a tough back last year when I watched them play, so i'm sure he will get most of the carries this year.

South's defense may be better than I think then, but I do remember alot of senior starters against Letcher last year. Was Vaughn a QB before last season? He looked like a very good running back last year and I remember him being on sports overtime alot with some great runs. Who are the basketball players that came out for football?

From what I have been hearing, Jeff Hale is playing this year, They say he's around 6'5" and can jump out of the gym. There was a few more but I can't remember their names.

At 6'5 he will definetely be a nice target to throw to. What grade is he and is this his first year of football?

he should be a junior, I think he played as a freshman but I might be wrong.

no jeff has never played he is a junior
kevon khan is the other basketball player tyler has played qb since middle school had some senior starters on defense last year but honestly half of them only started because they were seniors
souths year will depend on pass defense and how well the offense does
have alot of weapons just dont know how they will be used

if we can score some points obviously we can beat anybody on our schedule
we just gotta contain teams on d

I was looking at South Laurel's schedule and it will be very important to get some confidence early, they have alot of home games but it is a rough schedule. If they drop the first 2 or 3 games then it could be a very ugly year. If they can pull a surprise early then that could give them the confidence to win possibly 5-6 games this season.

It will not be a complete blowout IMO. I think SL somes out strong on defense and LCC will be sluggish in the first half. The score at the half will be maybe 6-0 or 13-0 LCC. After the half SL defense gets comes out amped but confused and the LCC ofeense scores 3td's in the third. Last qaurter the reserves come in and coache's get a look at who is ****ry off the sidelines. Good luck to both and hope no players get injured.

I will revise my prediction from 40-6 to 36-12 Letcher. However if South cannot put pressure on Johnson, Letcher may very well be closer to 50.

uh im going to backtrack on what i said south has nothing i watched theirt itrasquad scrimmage and did not look very good at all have wr that cant catch only a couple kids that can tackle if this is any indication we are in for a very long bad year

I heard the same also, one of my buddies told me that the D or O wasnt impressive and that the linebackers might be some of the slowest he's ever saw.

I really dont know much about what South has coming back this year. But, I do know that Letcher is going to be really tough. South just seems to be stuck right now and headed in the wrong direction. Hopefully they can turn things around soon, but I dont see it happening this year. Letcher wins 35-7
