I saw a ad in the Lexington Herald Leader where someone was going to have a beginning umpire class in the Pikeville area. Does anyone have any info on that?
When, where, is this only baseball or softball too, and is there any cost. I know of several who always said they wanted to officiate, now is the time from the looks of it.

Classes will be given on Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm on over a 3 week period. Jan 17-24-31, 2007 at the Pikeville College Library. Anyone interested may contact Pete Runyon at 606-353-4598 or 606-353-4949 (work between 8-5)

This is an excellant opportunity for someone who is interested! Between youth leagues and school baseball & softball.... a person won't get rich, but they'll make some money, have some fun, and meet all kinds of people for future networking! Who knows, maybe we'll get some new blood into an area that could use it!
