Lex Cath leads 11-8 with around 2:30 left in Q1.
Catholic's offense running nicely. A couple of quick buckets push it out to 16-8.
Last possession had four passes without the ball hitting the floor that ended in a lay-up. Just surgical precision.

Lexington Catholic dominated the 2nd quarter as they lead by 20 at 33-13 at the half. Frederick Douglass only scored 1 basket in the 2nd quarter and only have 4 in the first half. They have had a lot of open shots and jsut have not made them. Their leading scorer Armeio Boone who is averaging over 21 points a game has not scored.

This one is about as close to over as a game could be. Love seeing a team operate like Catholic's offense when clicking. It's one thing to pass the ball back and forth to think you are "moving the ball", and it's a completely different thing to move the ball with purpose and to see four to five passes without the ball hitting the floor.

I do think they have the better chance to beat Great Crossing because they matchup better with them than Douglass does. Douglass will have to shoot lights out in the 2nd half to have a shot, because Catholic is not the type of team to beat themselves.
Douglass starts the 3rd quarter with 2 three pointers to make it now 33-19 timeout Catholic.
Douglass closes out the half on a 7-0 run to make it 43-36 heading into the 4th quarter. They outscored Catholic 23-10 in the 3rd.
Catholic leads 48-43 with 4:22 to play.
Big call on the last Douglass possession I thought it should have been a and one but was called on the floor and then Douglass turns it over and could have been cut to 4 and now it is still a 7 point game.

Douglass answers with a 3 to but it to 56-50 with :45.1 one to play. Timeout and it is Catholic's ball. The Knights will have to miss some FT's or turn it over now for Douglass to have a shot.
