Well, I said Millard might be a darkhorse. They played and beat Mullins on their home floor in the pre-season tournament. Johns Creek beats Millard in the finals, GREAT JOB Bearcats. Either the county is far more balanced than i thought or something is amiss at Mullins. Didn't they hold back 5-10 kids so they could make a run at this thing. I will hold any further comment until I can see for myself what is going on. If anybody can give me any details as to how this went down, please do so. I didn't get to see any of it for myself. thanks in advance...

In the first semi final Dorton vs Johns Creek it was a back and forth game with a lot of defense, but the bearcats won 39-30 Conn was great in that game, Wright for Dorton and Adkins for Johns Creek both fouled out. The second semi final was a good one but Mullins couldn't stop Millard's PG he was fantastic and Wallace was trying to will them to a win but it wasn't enough Mullins loses by 6. The championship was a barnburner an overtime game won by the Bearcat 58-56, Millard's PG no. 20 another great performance, Conn had another great game and Adkins was a beast in that game when it counted he hit a couple of big shots in OT and Conn and no 3 put the game away with FT's for the win!

There are hold backs at Mullins but I am not for sure if they held back more for football or basketball. My guess would be for football. However, they are a team that you cannot count out. After spending a day watching the teams yesterday, the county is pretty balanced. Congrats to Johns Creek on winning the preseason tourney yesterday!

Millard will surprise a lot of people. #20 is a great all around player.

From what i seen at the pre-season tourny, several teams look good and will have a chance to win it all. Some teams are a little more balanced inside and outside which showed this weekend.

Found out that Adkins was the beast of the championship game with 24 pts and 15 Rebs. Congrats to the Bearcats big man and to his Johns Creek teamates on winning the preseason tournament.
