Well NKY, we can no longer be friends (until tomorrow).
The Trains and the Camels battle in tonights Titantic Clash of 37th District rivals. Brossart comes into the game with a 3-1 record, with their only blemish to NKY Powerhouse Holmes. The Camels, under new coach, Aric Russell bring a 2-1 record, with their only loss to current NKY #1 Dixie.
Throw records out the door, this rivalry of schools of neighbor vs. neighbor, father vs. son, and schools separated by 1 mile is an annual classic.
Will Brossart's "slow down, defensive pressure, hold you to one shot" approach work this year. Or, will former CCHS Alum Russell's style that made Newport Wildcats that surprise team of 2009/10 that knocked Holmes out of the Region, prevail. Russell will push to get the score into the upper 70's, while Code will strategize on keeping the game in the 40's.
