I was there, and if anyone else went, that is on BGR, they will agree, this was the worst called 2nd half of a high school game that I have ever seen, we could have still won if we would have hit our free throws, but those refs were a disgrace to the uniform, and refs like that need their whistle, and stripes taken !!!!!!!!!!!!

Gate City played an in-your-face stifling man-to-man defense and LCC had then best defensive game I have personally seen them play. Both teams struggled on offense mainly due to the other team's defense.

It was a good game although it was low scoring. I thought LC had a fine looking team and wish we had some of their height. The Devils never could get on track shooting wise in the 1st half to put a dent in LC's zone. The 2nd half was better but LC missed some key free throws and the refs made some suspect calls, which they usually do, that let the Devils close and eventually go ahead til the end. The ref in question, unfortunately we have had him at almost every home game and believe me, he's definately not biased on his calls. I think at one point in the 4th, it was LC 4 fouls to GC's 10. He seems to always blow his whistle at critical times.

They really need to get better, and I think by district they will.
