After reading the advocates artical,i see at least one mistake the 76 yard run they said reese had in the second quarter, was not a run it was a 3 or 4 yd pass reese turned into a 76 yd td.

I thought that was the case. I couldn't remember for sure though.

Great game by the Rebels, I know there one the best team right now (hands down)... IF we get to see them in Nov it will be a awsome game, but these still a LONG ways to go before Nov!!! Never knock out Law Co, Marion, Holmes, Lone Oak, ect!!!!! 4A is no joke

It was a pass thrown behind the line of scrimmage. That is where the confusion came in as to whether count it as a run or a pass. The turnovers were a little frustrating early. Boyle seems to be the only one that ever stops themselves However they did a great job putting drives together tonight. Also, Lamar Dawson outran everybody on a LONG run after a quick pass to the flats. This kid is getting scary good. Hopefully the team can have a great week of practice during fall break to get ready for a Lex Cath team that also seems to step up for big games.

I know that a screen pass counts as rushing yds.but im pretty sure he was past the line on that play.

On a side note,
Can any Boyle fans shed light on what, if any, colleges have came to see Lamar Dawson play? The buzz I am hearing is that he will be a D-1 player before it is all said and done and I hear UK Coach Chuck Smith has particularly had an eye on him.

I don't know how many colleges have been coming to the games. However, Lamar does receive many letters from colleges including Notre Dame, Cincinnati, UCLA, Tennessee and numerous others. However, these are just letters of interest at this point. He will visit an upcoming Notre Dame game as a guest and am sure many games to follow. This kid definitely has the tools to be a big time player. I am sure Coach Smith is very aware of Lamar's progress.

Just out of curiosity, can the refs change their mind about a call they made? If you were at the game Im sure you know which call Im talking about. The rebels recovered a fumble, and the refs made the call then after conversing with lafayette Coach they changed the call and gave Lafayette back the ball? Not that It mattered, but in a close game it could make a difference. Just curious about the rules?

The problem with the call was that the side judge did not see the ball pop out and whistled the ball dead. They did fumble and we did recover it but the inadvertent whistle made the play dead before we jumped on it. It was a mistake but the ball came out of the back of a large pile and many standing close by did not see it.

This was a good win for the Rebels before the Lex Cath. game. Boyle does seem to have many different options so, containing on Rees only will not work. Go Rebels!
