Belfry/GRC updates
#1
Belfry seemingly had GRC put away but have completely fallen apart. 37-35 GRC 4:39 left in 4th...
#2
Belfry trying to lose but the got a first down into GRC territory with a minute left.
#3
Not sure why GRC didn’t go for 2 when they took the lead. No difference in being up 1 or 2 but 3 is a major difference.

Pirates inside the 20 but they keep letting the clock run not to mention very questionable play calling.
#5
Questionable play calling on offense and defense this drive
#6
100 yd interception return TD GRC gonna win. What a complete and disasterous meltdown by Belfry.

This one will sting for a long time. Nobody in red looked like they knew where in the world they were in that 4th quarter including staff. 43-35 final
#8
Same crap different day. Horrible special teams, horrible play calling and horrible clock management. This is on Belfry coaching

Yes. Add to that muffed punt and blocked punt late. Belfry punter legit 7 yards behind the center. Everybody saw it coming. I still can't believe what I just watched.

Even the play call they got the safety on was a horrible call.

Hate to say it but I agree. Everyone looked totally lost in the 4th.

It was. And the wheels came off after the safety.

Going to have to get more starters in on special teams. Can’t let teams start at the 45 Hell I’d rather see them kick it out of bounds.

With all that being said Belfry looks better than last year just going to have to clean stuff up some. That includes coaching

What a disaster for Belfry. Terrible loss.

This team is lacking on the field and the sidelines. Sorry truth is the truth.

Once again, we see terrible play calling and even worse clock management . It just so disappointing. Saw it last year….and it’s right back again this season.

Special teams are simply atrocious.

Play calling was awful in the 2nd half. We panicked and committed to the Pistol set….when all that did was enable GRC to gain a step in reading keys. Slowed our offensive momentum down

Defensively, we all know this team is smallish…and LB and secondary play is deficient. You coach who you have. That’s all you can do. We defended the slant better…but the seams and over the top plays were just terrible.

Belfry lacks size and depth. No question. But….not being able to put away a very average 6A team at home….is just a troubling sign that another early exit come playoff time is very possible.

This staff has got to fix the poor play calling and address clock and situational football.

Kids played hard….and the Belfry faithful appreciate that. But these trends are too reminiscent of Belfry teams of the Mid 90’s. Not the 2003-2019 teams.

3 words. Coaching. Coaching. Coaching.

I don’t understand anymore. Those kids played lights out, from start to finish they knew what to do but did the coaches? Why go out of what was working? Why pass so much when their blitzing and o line can’t handle them all? This belfry team is sharp I know it. But you can have the greatest team assembled and not win when you go away from what’s working like the coaches did. Kids played great, coaches need to look at themselves.

how many straight years is belfry going to waste time on the shotgun and pistol crap before they realize its a sunk cost and they always abandon it by middle of season because it sucks
#19
Especially this year when they seemingly have a whole stable of excellent backs.

its only taking away reps from the core offense that has been great for 40 years

the special teams problems are ridiculous consistently terrible for a few years now

theres a personnel move id make on defense but thats splitting hairs i guess....... ultimately they can have a good team but a lot of soul searching and decisions need to be made about who you are and what your priorities are focused on down the stretch

Listened to most of the game on the radio. Shocked what happened in the 4th. Any way to go back and watch the full game? Had to work last night and couldn’t watch it.
