Thats a big time win for North Laurel. Not many people go into Log Mountain and drive the log truck back home.... Smile  North done it and congratulations on a big win, I mean big win. Proud of Mr. Nelson. Has there ever been a first-year head coach go in and win against Dudley? This may have been history in the making. I was watching the score as I was doing the Corbin game. I was like dang, North is laying the wood over there...

I know a lot of people from the outside sorta killed North over the Steven Nelson hiring. But I’ve known the kid—and he’s still a kid at least in head coaching terms, only 28 or so— his whole life, played football and baseball with my son all through their school days. And the one thing I knew from being around him was North was going to get a guy who was totally dedicated to football, would work his ass off, and would be a coach players would like playing for. Obviously one game isn’t enough to prove anything, but when your first game ever coaching is a win over Dudley on Log Mountain…..pretty damn good way to start a career.

Oh and also Jude McWhorter is an absolute stud, only a sophomore, but he has next level written all over him.

If bell county doesn’t just adapt to the spread offense, this will not be the final loss of this season. The wishbone works for bell when you have daniel thomas and a what i think was a top 10 line in the state last season regardless of class. Just like how the belly works for belfry when they got isaac dixon and future d1 starters up front. But when you don’t have those studs up front, lining up in the I-back with one receiver on the field at a time isn’t going to work period. They scored two very easy and very important touchdowns with less than 7 minutes left in the spread. Marched right down the field on one, and then big play on the other. I know i’m beating a dead horse on this one but why not have the biggest threats on the field, cause when they were together (under 10 plays on offense) the ball was moved in chunks even on the ground.

And i think a tight end release out of double tight wishbone for a two point conversion to tie with less than a minute might need to be removed from the play book. Just saying.

Most head scratching, papers and hats thrown, and yelling between members of the sideline in a while at bell.

I didn't see the game, but it appeared that Bell finally woke up and started playing some football. But it was too late!!
Good luck to both teams going forward.

I was talking about a first time head coach. If you was talking about Haddix, he already had coaching experience. But Haddix has not been beaten by Bell. Very impressive.
