Russell 24 West Jessamine 14
#1
Final in the 3 quarters of varsity action.

Good for Russell to get the win. I’m not sure what West Jessamine has this season but they gave up a ton of points last year. I look for Russell’s district to be a toss-up again with Ashland and maybe even East Carter agin vying for the title. Any details on this one, GoRedDevils?

West jessamine qb is the son of former Kentucky football player Pookie Jones.

Russell will be in the hunt for the district as well imo.

No doubt about it.  That district is the most competitive in our area.

It’s good to hold West Jessamine to 14 points. That was their lowest total last season. Russell has the best defensive coaches in the area.

They actually did score one more time with less than a minute left in the 3rd. I thought Russell might have stopped them but fox Lexington highlights showed they actually scored with under 1 minute. The reason I thought 24-14 was the final was I saw a picture of the scoreboard and it had like 58 seconds left in the 3rd and Russell had a 24-14 lead.

The actual final for varsity was 24-21 Russell.
