Knox was pretty daggone good! Credit to them!!
Proud of the Jaguars. Still learning how to play together and getting better.
I would like to know why Dylan Caudill doesnât get more minutes? I know he isnât that great of a scorer, but heâs a good rebounder and a 110% energy and effort guy.
It seems like we get out-rebounded every game anyway.

My opinion is coach spurlock isn't a good coach that's why he can't keep a steady coaching job they figure out he don't know what the hell hes doing and let him go. I went to one game and figured out he didn't know what he was doing. From my point of view he isn't much of anything let alone a coach he's job scared he plays players who he thinks their parents can get him somewhere he needs to be not who should be playing.

That was a old style take butt whipping from the start. Weak field for wymt. Floyd had no business in the finals Hope wymt invites the best teams next time. With 14th and 15th way down its hard though. Floyd to me looks like a bunch of football players trying to play basketball.

I agree. That's why ranking mean nothing.

The girls side was very weak too. No competition for Harlan Co. Head and shoulders above the rest. HC lost the best post player in the region the first 3 min (knee injury) and still win comfortably.

No surprise to me. Knox and Corbin will be fun

Serious petty points for your post. They do have football players playing; like every other school in the mountains. They earned their way to the finals like every. other. school.

Congrats to Panthers

congrats to Knox! I do agree that it was a weak field. Knox was clear favorite from beginning.

Probably the top teams from the 13th,14th and 15th. Good to see Knox finish I guess. Congrats.

Congrats to the Panthers. They have to be the favorite to win the Region this year.

Why did the TV announcer continually spell out the letters to Knox, as in âK-N-O-X has scored 6 unanswered points.â What was the deal with that. When I watched the Knott-Knox game I figured he did it because the names of the two schools sound similar, but then he did it again in the Floyd Central game.

I wondered the exact same thing - it was really strange I thought.

That's very common for Eastern KY broadcasters for along while. I've been out of broadcasting for a few years and I always did the same thing K n o x - K n o t t

Knox has been referred to by K-N-O-X for a long time.

Let me clear something up.
This is not a traditional "invitational" tournament.
There is an application process among schools where scholarships are sponsored.
From the pool of applicants, a committee selects the schools and sends out contracts for the tournaments. Some schools deep in the 13th and 15th turn it down because they may have to drive several hours for three days in one week.
Just letting everyone know that putting the field together isn't as easy and just calling up teams and saying "come and play."
For the record, I think Floyd Central was a tough team but Knox was just too much.

I have been searching for a reason #22 Kolby Slone has no playing time. When they beat Dunbar in KBA summerball they had no answer for him. So what's up? I am afraid coach has a personal issue with one of the best kids you could hope to be around or have on a team. I am not talking about not starting I am talking about a great player as a senior only put in the Mountain classic with 49 seconds on the clock. That was dirty.
