Final. Ashland is 0-18 but will undoubtedly pick up its first win Tuesday against winless Rose Hill. However, with Boyd County and Spring Valley later in the week, Ashland could by 1-20 by this time next Saturday. Or, of course, they could be on a three game winning streak. That is why they play the games, isn't it?
It appears that my title is incorrect. The final score was Ironton, OH 91, Ashland 68. I should have checked the KHSAA scoreboard rather than going by word of mouth.

The Villars kid for Ashland was lights out. I'd like to know how many he scored. Good ball player.

Got the opportunity to see Ashland earlier this year, they look like a bunch of middle schoolers. What is their class breakdown?

Villers was 11 for 21 for the game. He has always had a scorers mentality. Interesting that Biggs talked about other kids getting involved and plays Villers, who is a scorer at the 1. Seems like the structure restricts the statement. They have more issues than they have answers at this point, so a change in roles wouldnt solve much if anything really. It has been a long season for Ashland to say the least. The football team will wind up having more wins this school year than the basketball team with 6. To be honest, I dont know if the baseball team will win more that 6 either.
