A U.S. Express flight out of Charlotte, North Carolina made a safe emergency landing at about 9 a.m. at Blue Grass Airport.
The pilot of the flight called an alert 2, which means the pilot was requesting assistance on the runway. There was apparently trouble with the flaps on the 50-seat jet which would make it harder for the pilot to stop.
17 people were on board. No injuries were reported, as the the plane was able to land without any problems.
We'll have more on the landing coming up on LEX 18 news at Noon.

Hm. I can look out the window at work and see planes approaching the Bluegrass Airport. Funny thing is, I was looking out the window around 9 and noticed a plane. Something about it caught my attention. Nothing was wrong, it just seemed to stand out. Weird.
