Paintsville 73 Shelby Valley 71

He played a great game, and the rest of the team looked for him a lot. Shelby Valley did not shoot very many threes in the second half, but they hit a good percentage of the ones they shot. What beat Valley was the lack of defensive rebounding by the big boys. It happened not only on the last shot by Paintsville, but the rest of the game as well. Good game boys! Slone and Vanhoose played very well also.

Bill Mike might know better how to use Cade, but he sure didn't know how to stop him. His press(or lack thereof) was what made Cade's offense. I know sometimes coaches get caught up in pressing even when it isn't working, but the press was horrible. Only maybe 1/3 of Cade's offense came in the post. The rest was easy layups off of Paintsville's ineffective press.

This young man(Cade Riddle) had a tremendous game against Paintsville-31 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocked shots. He had one or two easy lay ups from Paintsville's ineffective press ( as you put it). The rest he earned himself(in the post) with the help of his team mates. If anything was Cade's offense, it was his strong post moves. You make it sound like it was a walk in the park for this young man to get 31 points. He worked very hard in the post to get them. So please do not demean his efforts. Give credit where credit is due!

Don't tell me not to demean anyone's efforts when I have done no such thing. Cade worked his butt off and he was rewarded for the effort. What I said was that he made several post moves, but the majority of his points came off of the press. I was at the game so don't tell me what I saw. I am completely for Cade and if he would be fed the ball more in better scoring positions the team's record would be much better. The boys really looked to get him the ball and he was very efficient(I would guess that he missed only 3 or 4 shots). My post was aimed more at defending Coach Booher who was criticized unfairly. Cade was given the ball a lot in the 2nd half. Also, I was pointing out that it is easy to criticize a coach--even Bill Mike Runyon. The post I responded to said Coach Runyon would know what to do with a big man like Cade, and I was saying that he sure didn't know how to stop him; in fact he helped Cade score several easy baskets by continuing to press even though it was ineffective. More than 1 or 2 layups came off the press.

Please don't put words into my mouth. You must be looking for something negative because you turned my positive comments about Cade and the team into something negative.
